She also teaches the public and medical community about the healing power of the Paleo diet and therapeutic lifestyle changes that restore health and vitality to our citizens. She hosts a Wahls Protocol Seminar every August where anyone can learn how to implement the Protocol easily and successfully. Follow her on Facebook (Terry Wahls MD) and on Twitter at @TerryWahls.

What an inspiring story. Amazing! Thank you for all the crucial information shared. Any tips to counter brain shrinkage? This is after 20 yrs of prescription psychiatric drugs, ie anti-psychotics, now mercifully in the rear view mirror, since October 1, after tapering for 8 months, & defying shrink's gloomy reaction to my intentions. Having followed the Dr Gundry podcast since lockdown, I'm now a devotee, (and after my gut analysis results out soon from Chuckling Goat in Wales/Cambridge (UK),am hoping all is well there), but my memory for fact assimilation and recollection is not as it used to be. Are there such things as brain food, not yet mentioned in yr respective diets?!

It's a very specific keto diet. The fats are more mono-saturated (which surprises me because saturated fats are essential for nerve growth), the vegetables are mainly cruciferous, and aliums, and a greater variety of mushrooms. Wahls eats breakfast and dinner rather than a reduced eating window.

Diet changes are Sooooooo much easier if you live alone or are not responsible for cooking food (that you can’t eat) for your entire family. I fall into the second category and it is very difficult. No one in my family wants or needs to eat as restrictive as I do and I wouldn’t want to impose that on them, so it is a huge struggle every freakin day!

@@kathleen9456 my approach is that my family definitely eats what I eat (low lectin by peeling and seeding nightshades, long soaking and pressure cooking of pulses, boiled meat rather than frying, olive oil, lots of vegetables) but the rest of the family adds to their plates what they like such as rice, noodles, bread

I don't understand what source of protein is allowed at all in an ideal situation? If legumes, dairy, eggs, meat is not recommended at all? What is left? Or do they mean, that eating "salads/vegatable" with olive oil is enough for our bodies?
