Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Swedish progressive metal masters Seventh Wonder's new studio album, "The Testament" on June 10, 2022. Pre-order/save "The Testament" HERE: orcd.co/7thwonder "The Testament" follows 2018's "Tiara", which, at the time, was the band's first new music in eight years. While the wait between albums was, mercifully, shorter this time around, the band certainly did not need any extra time to craft a stunning album showcasing their prolific instrumental skills and intricate songwriting. Indeed, "The Testament" is a high watermark in the band's already revered discography. Seventh Wonder was formed in 2000 by bassist Andreas Blomqvist, guitarist Johan Liefvendahl, and drummer Johnny Sandin after their previous band fell apart. The music they were writing and playing turned towards progressive metal. When keyboardist Andreas “Kyrt” Söderin joined in late 2000, their new sonic explorations were only cemented further. Two demos were recorded (2001 & 2003) and the latter caught the attention of the label Lion Music, who signed the band in 2004. That collaboration spawned the first Seventh Wonder album, ‘Become’, which was released in June 2005. “Become” was well received by progressive metal fans and media alike; however, the band and singer Andi Kravljaca decided to part ways shortly after the recording process had ended. Enter the brilliant Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, ex-Vindictiv), who joined the band in 2005, actually prior to the official release of “Become”. The next album, ‘Waiting In The Wings’ was recorded in 2006 and mixed and mastered by legendary Tommy Hansen. This album was a huge leap forward in terms of song complexity and maturity and received outstanding reviews and fan accolades, establishing Seventh Wonder as a force to be reckoned with in the progressive metal world. 2007 was spent playing live in support of the album, including sharing stage with legendary bands such as Queensrÿche, Testament, Redemption, and many others in England, Holland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Simultaneously in 2007, a follow-up to ‘Waiting In The Wings’ was written. The band hit the studio in May of 2008 to record their third full-length, “Mercy Falls”, which was hailed as a true masterpiece at the time of its release. "Mercy Falls" was supported with several live shows in Europe, including Italy, Norway, Finland, and Holland. In 2010, the band released “The Great Escape”, which again was met with critical and fan acclaim and cemented the band's standing as one of the premiere progressive metal bands in existence. In support, the band again toured in Europe and also appeared live in the USA at ProgPower Festival. After "The Great Escape" album release, drummer Johnny Sandin left the band and would later be replaced by the incredibly talented Stefan Norgren (ex-Lion´s Share). Seventh Wonder fans collectively lost their minds in 2018 when it was announced that after an agonizing eight year wait, the band's latest studio album "Tiara" would be released. "Tiara" once again continued the band's winning streak of crafting progressive metal masterpieces and was greeted with high levels of enthusiasm. Now, in 2022, the band one again returns with another magnum opus of a progressive metal album, "The Testament". “The Testament” Tracklisting: 1. Warriors 2. The Light 3. I Carry The Blame 4. Reflections 5. The Red River 6. Invincible 7. Mindkiller 8. Under A Clear Blue Sky 9. Elegy LINE-UP: Johan Liefvendahl - guitar Andreas Blomqvist - bass Tommy Karevik - vocals Andreas Söderin - keyboards Stefan Norgren - drums Social Media: facebook.com/seventhwonderofficial instagram.com/seventhwonderofficial/ twitter.com/RealSWband www.seventhwonder.se

Can you guys upload videos in their original aspect ratio? It looks like it would fit an ultrawide monitor perfectly, but it was hard-encoded into the standard HD 16:9 aspect ratio with black bars at the top and bottom, so people with ultrawide monitors get those as well as large wasted black spaces on the sides when viewing in full screen.

I still play and sing along to this song and Invicible at least twice a day. I am obsessed with them. My cat Buddy is a fan, too. He comes into the office when I am playing Seventh Wonder and the new Kamelot song. When I sing, he flattens his ears and looks at me funny like he is thinking, "what the hell". I certainly don't have Tommy's chops!!!!

@48mlove Жыл бұрын
HAHAHA. He isn't bad looking on top of his incredible talent. He writes and/or co-writes melodies and lyrics for both Seventh Wonder and Kamelot. He plays base, keys and drums also. He said in an interview he sees music in lines and color. I wish he would expand on that. It is really an interesting concept. He says he exercises his body and his voice. It shows!!!!!

He is the perfect frontman. Good looking, good figure, good voice, good technique. He's a gem. And these are why SW can produce masterpiece after masterpiece.

The thing i've always loved about seventh wonder (Tommy's elite voice aside) was how they were always equal parts proggy/melodic/accessible/fun. Don't get me wrong I like a lot of impenetrable and inaccessible music but bands that can reach everyone without compromising their sound are always really special
@KoscheiMorevna2 жыл бұрын
this is exactly why it is a crime that more people don't know about them, not many people that have heard seventh wonder can then say they didn't enjoy it.

@@Erin_Metal Tough to compare tbh. Devin has a whole other side to his vocals through death metal that are impressive in and of itself. Tommy's got those pop runs for days though. 🤷♂️ Guess it depends on the style really!
@48mlove Жыл бұрын
LIsten to Seventh Wonder and Kamelot ballads and then to Devon's. No comparison. Tommy's vocal inflections, etc., are incredible. Do listen to Seventh Wonder's Against the Grain acoustic version and Beyond Today and Kamelot's Under Grey Skies and then Devon's ballads. Tommy wins hands down. I am not saying Devin isn't a great singer and he does sing some songs better than Tommy. The problem with Devin is you can hardly hear his voice over the instrumentation and back up singers. I can't make out a lot of the words. I prefer Seventh Wonder songs over Kamelot's because in Seventh Wonder Tommy's voice soars and he has runs. Their lyrics and melodies are great, too. I love their song Invincible, too. Seventh Wonder has more positive lyrics and Kamelot's are darker. Seventh Wonder is where Tommy's voice SHINES!!!! I didn't know who Devin was, but will now follow his work thanks to you. We all have a right to our own preferences as to what we deem great music. Best wishes for a great year ahead!!
