Great fighting game no doubt about it, maybe even a top ten fighting game. In terms of style speed and hype gameplay as you mentioned already Marvel vs capcom is also up there as well as capcom vs snk and even the street fighter alpha games.

Tbh, I don't trust Capcom would do a godd Darkstalkers revive nowdays. ASW seems like a better company for that atm, especially since they used so many VSAV mechanics ane moves in their games.

@@markocoric9233 haha yes, entirely accurate. Every other 2D fighting game ever has a top tier and that's all anybody uses. People win these tournaments with different characters. This is Capcom's best 2D fighter just behind 3rd Strike

@@AQT187 I respect your opinion but I don’t think third strike is even the best 2d Street fighter game. I’ll take Alpha 2,3 and super turbo over third strike. Now if we’re talking 2d fighting games from capcom alone then there’s all the vs games and that includes the capcom vs snk games that I believe are all better than Darkstalkers and third strike. Darkstalkers 3 is a great game and one I still enjoy playing but I don’t think it’s a top 5 2d capcom fighting game let alone without me even talking about the 2d Snk games or mortal kombat.

Darkstalkers 3, called Vampire Savior in Japan I think. Translation stuff idk the details on. Anyways, those characters were added in the console release.
