Albert Kim. They just lacked detail or were out of date. I didn’t find any mention of power modules and internal software. Also, everything points to using the latest companion to update, but that doesn’t work properly

Wondering if you have done anymore of the updates? the latest updates have .dfu files as well as the .bin files. are we just suppose to use the .bin files? Frsky's readme.txts instructions are f'd.

You need the bin file from 190720. You need one of the frk files from the ISRM v1.13. P for pro, S for s. Do this after the steps in this video.

Any idea when D8 will be available? While I like the hardware features of the X-Lite Pro, I would rather have the regular X-Lite so as to not lose the D8 compatibility.

Not sure. I've only heard rumors here and there.

@@AlbertKimTV - Same here, but they would be crazy not to make it D8 compatible, provide it's possible. It could only improve their sales since it would be done after the fact as sales of D8 radios are prohibited in Europe, but you can still own one.

I heard that was the reason they didn't make this one D8 compatible. So does that mean all the old FrSky radios are illegal to sell in the EU?

Albert Kim - Not quite sure of the exact details, but I did read that they could not be sold that are made after 1/1/2015 with Non EU firmware, only EU LBT firmware should be sold there, but many Chinese vendors did’t comply. Some of the radios XJT modules were region locked to EU only making it next to impossible to run D8 firmware. My guess is that by eliminating a default set up of D8 they don’t run into any issues with EU and eliminate stocking with two different firmware versions.

During the update process, after I pressed the trim button and power button, the screen did not show up anymore. Now I can't turn on the TX when I press the Power button, is it burnt or flashed somewhere? Please show me how to fix it, thank you very much!

I'm not sure what happened. Did you take the batteries out and try to power it up without the batteries and then put the batteries back in?

@@AlbertKimTV Thank you for replying, I was so confused because both my x-lite pro had the same error, now I don't have any TX to play, I tried removing the battery and reinserting it and pressing the power button. I hope it will reopen but it just stays silent, I don't know what happened to it.

@@QuanNguyenDung Looks like something went wrong in the upgrade process. I think the radio is bricked. You'll need to contact FrSky customer support and show them that video. I think they should replace it for you under warranty.

@@AlbertKimTV I got the error right after trying to enter the Bootloader mode (pressing the trim center and power buttons), TX had not yet connected the computer, and now it could not connect to the computer anymore. Can you guide me how to contact for warranty? I bought it from Banggood.

Something that confused me for a while: Looks like your SD card needs to be formatted using the FAT32 file system or the X-Lite pro will say the card is empty. (Not exFAT for NTFS)

Hi Albert I bought one of this xlite pro here in UK so its on EU/LBT i followed your setup and now it works on D16, but what i want is "only FCC" and I don't need LBT coz all my receiver are FCC, do I still need to change to open tx nightly or can you please tell me how i'm gonna change this to FCC without using the nightly build.. cheers man!!!

I'm trying to get the crossfire nano tx to work with my xlite pro. I did everything in this video and when I turn my xlite on it gives me an SD card warning and I still cannot select crossfire

I haven't tried that combination yet. I suspect it may be a firmware issue. Right now all the FrSky stuff is a mess... a lot of things are broken now.

When I unzip im not getting all those files I see you getting. I'm getting 2. One says bin at the end and the other something else. I'm not getting the PMU or anything else. I'm so confused. All I want to do is use my crossfire

Albert I need help!!!!! I can’t get any ext module to power on my pro... I’ve tried a ton of stuff but now my sad card is full of crap and I’m lost. The auto update for the PMU comes back with an error. Any experience with this issue?? Frsky is sooooo slow to answer me

Use a better SD card. Seems bad sd cards cause update failures

Albert Kim ok I’ll try that also.. I have a big issue now.. I used opentx to try and update the transmitter firmware and it changed my version from 2.3.0 to 2.2.4 and it’s not right at all. But now my backup files won’t load and are missing data somehow when I try and go back to 2.3.0 that came in my xlite pro. Geez this sucks.

Hello Albert I followed this and after the firmware update, I go to the ISRM and about 1/4th into the writing I get "FW update error Device refused data [EXIT]" and now when I go to "[Modules/RX version]" it shows "Internal module Module - - -" It shows no version , where it did show 1.1 something Got any ideas?

Try a different microSD card. Something might be wrong with that one.

You still need the R9M mini module. I also heard a new R9M mini PRO module is coming out that will do 1 watt. I doubt they would advertise R9M compatibility and then not have it work.

@@AlbertKimTV Before you update the D16 mode, I see that in "mode" of the item: "internal RF" still has "ISRM ...". After you update D16, only "ACCST D16" and "ACCESS" remain.

D16 mode should work. However, the whole Frsky ecosystem is FUBAR now so I dumped all my Frsky gear. It's next to impossible to figure out which firmware works and which doesn't and I don't have time to figure their crap out anymore. Sorry I'm not any help here.
