It’s a mix of lockdown being over, people not falling for dumb trends anymore, getting older, having less money to spend on things that honestly don’t matter when you can still pull with just a Tshirt and jeans, and that everyones fashion youtubers they used to watch have gotten so far that now they’re dropping a rock+ on just one item of clothing so it’s not even really worth it at that point, like there comes a point where spending that much money on just clothes has diminishing returns in style and value for what you’re buying.

One previous video mentioned the Levi’s 511 as a solid go-to. I think it’s important to have a decent mix depending on your shoes. I don’t want to wear a baggy pair of denim with slim, narrow shoes. I don’t love the idea of cargo pants. Some people hate on skinny jeans. I think having a couple fits in some common colors helps: light washed blue, darker indigo, some shade of khaki, and black are a great start!

Flared are best if you have vintage (Levi’s especially). My favorite pair of jeans I have are a pair of Levi’s 646 from the late 70s and they are the best fitting pair of jeans I’ve ever owned. They look fantastic with everything I own.

A slim fit is the skinniest cut most guys should probably go and even then, I think straight or baggy cuts are: a.) definitely in style right now and b.) definitely more timeless - especially the straight cut. The only time they can look good imo is a skinny stacked look. But, you have to have skinny legs! And they don’t go with every kind of fit like a lot of other jeans can
