Gnocchi that has been baked as part of a sheetpan dinner is amazing. Some cubed up butternut squash, red onion wedges, broccoli and the gnocchi (no boiling needed) drizzled with a few tbsp of melted butter mixed with sage, salt and pepper. Roasted together for about 35 minutes at 425 and the gnocchi is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Add some diced chicken or kielbasa and it's a complete meal.

What I would do is buy rice and eggs to make a fried rice. However, (when frozen)they stick together and sometimes they break when you try to pull them apart, so, I got the bright idea of putting wax paper or parchment paper between each tortilla then stuffing them back into the bag before freezing and VOILA, no more broken torts!! Definitely gonna have to check out the food at my local Dollar Trees! This may be a little off topic, but these days when things are so expensive, the tips below might help in addition to shopping at Dollar Tree for food and other items. Some Tips for 1-2 person households (or more).... I'm single/empty-nester so these work great for me. I buy 2-3 loaves of bread at one time and freeze all but one. Thaw in fridge. I do the same with Texas Toast (1 loaf) for when I get a hankering for French Toast or Breakfast Toasters ( like at Sonic, but better cuz, well, it's homemade lol When you buy hamburger or hot dog buns, take them out of the bag and put in freezer bags. I put 2 hot dog buns in one quart size bag and 1 burger bun in quart bag. Thaw in fridge. I'm in Texas so I buy the HEB Thick n Juicy frozen burger patties ( a little pricey but worth it). They don't take long to thaw so it should be ready when it's time to eat. If I only want one hot dog, leave the other in the bag and leave on counter or in pantry. Freezing them this way keeps them from spoiling and growing mold. Great for older kids when they get home from school as a snack (the hot dog) and babysitters, too, if they are going to be doing dinner for the kiddos. You can do this with tortillas, too, but I would advise taking them out of the bags and putting a piece of wax paper in between each one to make it easier to get the number out that you want. I would transfer them to a freezer bag or put back in original bag but put that in freezer bag if you want. I basically do the same with pork chops, steaks, chicken breasts. 1-2 pieces of meat (depending on size). After shopping I put them in the fridge until ready to put them in quart freezer bags. Be sure to label your bags with date bought & item(s) in the bag before you put the meat in; markers don't work well on bags with cold meat in them lol You can also season each bag of meat if desired before freezing. To thaw these meats, I get a big bowl, put the bag/s in and place a smaller heavy bowl on top and fill big bowl with water. Put in fridge. I haven't timed them, but I guarantee they thaw a LOT faster than just putting them in the fridge as is, especially pork chops and steaks. Chicken and the rolled ground beef take longer but should still be done the same day. I would put those 2 in fridge in the morning so they should be done by dinner time. I cook my chicken in my cock pot so I don't mind if they are still a Little frozen in the middle. TIP: If cooking chicken this way, season them then add some water around them then cook. I have found this helps them to moist and not so dried out. Personally I shred them immediately when I take them out of the crock pot and either use it all in a recipe OR store it in a Pyrex container. I love shredded bbq chicken sandwiches so when I want one, just take out the portion you want, mix with bbq sauce, heat it up and put it on your bun/bread! Great sandwich done in just a couple of minutes! I hope these help someone! Have a great day!

@@DaniElle-di4ho I have found that putting the frozen meat in water then in the fridge makes it thaw much faster. For years I did it the way you suggested and it took way too long. Good idea, though, for more planned meals 👍🙂

I've found that a couple of times only. I buy the sticks of butter, onion and garlic powder, jars of garlic, and sazon seasoning and bouillon. Do NOT buy the bouillon in the jars! It is straight up salt!I have a problem getting dehydrated, so I do buy water with electrolytes there. They even have Core.

I’ve always preferred the cheap pancake syrup. My parents were very frugal and I can’t remember ever having maple syrup growing up. I don’t mind the flavor, but it makes your pancakes and waffles soggy.

My dollar tree has 12 oz. frozen blueberries, I get 2 for $2.50, equalling 24 ounces, Wal-Mart sells a 16 ounce package for $2.58

Shelf-stable gnocchi is perfect for pan frying. (Don't boil them before or you get goo. You're looking for a golden color with a light crisp.) Nigella Lawson recommends using freshly made gnocchi, which do give you lighter results, but the shelf-stable kind are good in a "I need a dense potato moment that somehow also has a little chew" kind of way.

Ooo! Pan frying! I may have to try that. I just can't really get on board with gnocchi because of the texture. The rest on my family like them though. I'll have to try frying them to see if I like that better.

I am a huge fan of shelf stable milk. When it gets close to expiring I put it in the fridge and use it for cooking.

For the gnocchi, I love to saute mine in a pan with olive oil, avocado oil or butter until light golden brown. Then you can add whatever ingredients you like-cream sauce with veggies and meat, no cream sauce and spinach, etc.

I’ll have to give that a try! Sounds really good.

The fudge stripe cookies are most definitely the best way to make s'mores! Especially when you little kids! (And the chocolate on the cookie actually gets melty unlike chocolate bars.)

I always stock up on my Himalayan pink salt from the Dollar Tree. The same exact brand at Wal-Mart is not only almost $4 more, like you said, but the bags at all of my Wal-Marts are almost half the size. Blows my mind. Ps. I love your channel! Such great content. 🖤

Gnocchi soup and gnocchi and cheese. Just like Mac and cheese but with gnocchi instead of noodles also great with some hot sausage added to it!

the gnoochi is really exciting, im not huge into buying snacks bc its like a waste of money for me personally ( i don't have kids otherwise i totally would!) but like these pasta staples, bean staples, and seasoning staples you are showing are good for my situation ( am physically limited and can't work more than 28-30 hours weekly) so i really appreciate this- much gratitude. I miss living down south....new hyork is sucking me dry financially and spiritually.

I like to cut the Dollar Tree gnocchi into quarters and use them in dumplings in Italian style tomato and veggie soups

Gnocci... I have made the "my own version" of the Olive Garden's soup, "Chicken and Gnocci". I just add one pack of the gnocci. I add one family size can of read to serve chicken. I also add one can of Alfredo sauce. Boil the gnocci and salt/season to your desire. Drain, then add the pre-cooked chicken and sauce. I ALWAYS like to add more water (I just use the jar/can that my sauce comes from), as it cools because it thickens up pretty good... and to get it as thin as Olive Garden, I even add another "jar" later-depending on how far you want it to go... ("Do you want it soupy or thicker?"). Enjoy! It's so good!!!

Your husband is a man after my own heart, "it would be better with chocolate" - always! Gnocchi - SORTEDfood had a recipe recently where they made a fish pie where they used gnocchi for the potato topping. You could use the gnocchi where you would use any mashed potato. Shepherd's pie, tater-tot casserole, etc.

Toss the gnocchi in melted butter and fresh garlic bake for 20 minutes at 375 toss with Parmesan cheese, pepper. I like to add steamed broccoli after I toss it. Delicious.
