Dad made a great salad with blood oranges, thinly sliced red onions and a simple vinaigrette on dark mixed greens. He was rather proud of his creation since he wasn't a great cook and had to take over when Mom became ill.

Good job Sarah sharing your prep. Do you ever invite non Jewish co workers to enjoy a dinner with you.I sent my son to a Jewish nursery school as he was very interested. We had a neighbor that kept kosher , we en joyed sharing with that family. my attitude is that we are in this together and the more we learn the better. I have just discovered your videos this week. I am not sure how long you have been making and posting them to the U-tube channel. I do not know if you will ever read this note but I wanted to thank you for doing so. You have somehow been able to stir my soul from it's long stupor. In 2019 I suffered a catastrophic brain injury after removal of a benign brain tumor. I was completely paralyzed on the right side of my body. Since then I have relearned how to move my body but not how to be the housewife that I was previously. No shopping, cooking, cleaning etc. Bad Wfe! Your calm voice and pleasant demeanor have convinced my dormant brain cells to get back in the kitchen. My husband us very much pleased. There is so very much more to say but I shall not bore you. It is enough to thank he who made all for guiding me to your wonderful channel.

I love your Shabbat prep! I’m ashkenazi and it’s great to see some recipes that are different so I can shake things up and get new ideas. I’d love to see some of your Passover recipes. I’m not orthodox but love your videos. I’m so amazed at what you accomplish each week working full time with kids. I’m also a full time working mom and being a Jewish mom adds another layer for sure! I made your fish patties and the entire family flipped over them. So easy too. I was finished with prep and fry in 15 minutes. I served them with some potatoes and everyone was happy. What a wonderful easy tuna meal. I also served a bug free salad.

I became religious when I was in my early 20s and in med school: i was witness to so many miracles and couldn’t believe it was all random therefore I knew there and then with utmost conviction there is a G.od governing this world , He is my King my Father in Heaven and I am a princess 👑 therefore I had to know the rules of His kingdom to Bless Him and grow closer To Him ❤️

@@frumitup that is so beautiful Sara Malka. I wish I was young enough to start over again but I’m not. I try to take on mitzvahs like lighting Shabbat candles, giving tzedakah, daily prayer and saying psalms. We buy kosher meat but not everything has a hechsher although I’m trying. We will be putting up mezuzahs after Pesach on at least the front door. I feel bad sometimes that I wasn’t raised to be observant and even though my children were definitely more than me they have chosen to declare themselves agnostic or in the case of my daughter stating she is not Jewish. It breaks my heart. Thank you for always being such a sweet and caring person. ❤️

Thank you so much! Yep on call 4 days, pesach prep and everything else! I filmed everything yesterday after work!! And at 11pm I realized I hadn’t made the dessert so I filed the ice cream then!! I am soooooo zonked but I still need to do so many things! Wanna come and help ! You know being only a flight ✈️ away!! Xoxoxo

@@frumitup I am doing well...I never lost any of my cognitive or speech functions, praise God...I am semi-paralyzed on my right side, but I can walk pretty well with a cane...it is a challenge, but my wonderful husband and 2 wonderful sons help me very much...God is good all the time, and all the time God is good! xoxoxoxo
