Frustrations over USPS delays

My friends Birthday was Dec 10th so I sent a package out Dec 2ndthat was supposed to arrive Friday the 6th and he just got it today...The 13th.

It's not just Indy. We're Etsy sellers and have over 30 packages not moving. It has been a nightmare. Just had one deliver that was shipped on Nov 23rd.

I have 3 packages that were mailed from different locations/businesses around the country. One in TX, one in MA & one in CA I think. I ordered on Dec 5, haven’t received any of them, all just say in transit. I’m sure I won’t get them by next week & I THOUGHT I ordered in plenty of time for Christmas. The USPS is the biggest joke & the WORST run business. Any time I see a package has been sent to me via USPS I just hang my head b/c I know there’s no guarantee I’ll ever even get it!

I mailed a package to an eBay customer on Tuesday of last week. Tracking still shows it's at the local post office where I dropped it off. The employees looked at the tracking information and told me that it's probably at their main hub in Kansas City somewhere and that it's very busy so a lot of packages aren't being scanned. He suggested waiting a while. Meanwhile my customer is freaking out cuz he needed this package for a gift on the 20th.

Worked for FedEx inside the Hub for almost 4 yrs, so I know what Xmas time is like for delivery drivers, did almost everything besides van lines which delivered to houses!~

After I was fired the location I worked at got alot worse I was told, things were not getting done!~ An I pushed them for the Safety Committee which by law is required if u have over 25 employees!~

Glad to see this! I buy a lot of silver bullion online and for the last month, transit had been AWFUL as soon as it reaches Indianapolis! Luckily everything has delivered so far but it’s so annoying to know once it reaches the black hole that is Indianapolis, it will be a gamble to know when your package is delivered!!!

We still haven’t received our Christmas presents here in Hawaii. Its already mid January. Most Hawaii residents have packages stuck in san Francisco facility! We are cooked 🤦🏼‍♂️

This isn't just a December thing. This crap has been going on for years all year. I saw where the postmaster general was in court being addressed about this continual nightmare, and he didn't want to hear it. So he literally covered his ears like a 5 year old. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. They. Don't. Care. Plus, the typical corporate way of doing things is to charge more and give less to the customers.

I'm from PA, but I constantly have problems with USPS. They often decide not to deliver my packages, they deliver my mail to other addresses and I get other peoples' mail alllll the time and I've gotten medical bills, electric bills, and heart medication that are not mine. Today my mail had smudges of blood on it. They also lie about me not being home and force me to either pick up the package or have it redelivered. This is bullshit.

What timing to stumble upon this video lol, I have a package that's been stuck in Indianapolis since the 2nd, still there. Keeps saying "in transit" then days later it'll say it arrived in Indianapolis but that's where it already was. What a cluster dump situation.

I had a package delayed 2 weeks in the Indy hub. Now one of my daughter’s Christmas presents likely won’t arrive on time. “Moving through network” my ass. More like “sitting in a pile in a warehouse”. Way to go DeJoy, you ruined Christmas you grinch!

Every package I order that ships through the USPS has to go through Indianapolis before it comes to the area of northeast Indiana I live in. I have received every package in a timely manner with them going Indy- Fort Wayne - Noble County in two days. On the other hand I will admit that them getting to Indy is sometimes a problem. With five books that I ordered through aggregator abebooks stuck in limbo. Even though the independent stores have shipped them but they are all still saying not in the system yet. And they are scattered across the country one in Washington state. Two in Texas and two from the same store in Towson Maryland.
