@NurturingTalents According to Michael Kirkbride: "Alessia didn't have the power to absorb dragon souls. Hers was a much more nuanced power: to dream of liberty and give it a name and on her deathbed make Covenant with the Aka-Tusk." So MY understanding is that she wasn't a "normal" Dragonborn, like Miirak, Tiber Septim or The Last Dragonborn; I assume those individuals were born with their power, given their dragon souls by Akatosh at birth or even conception, and it just didn't manifest until later in life when it was needed. Alessia, on the other hand, wasn't born with the soul of a dragon, but was given the dragonblood when she made her covenant with Akatosh. Whether or not that means she could use the Thu'um, I don't know. Despite this, she is recognized by most historians in TES universe as the first Dragonborn, even though Miirak has her beat by a few hundred years.

I'd love to have at least a questline in VI that focuses on the Alessian Order. If you're not familiar, they were a monotheistic, human-centric cult that arose following the overthrow of the Aylieds. They were extremely anti-elven, often chasing them out of cities or executing them without cause. I imagine the Great War and the following White-Gold Concordat would cause a surge in anti-elven sentiment, especially in Cyrodil, which is also where the Alessian Order first started. Maybe the quest has you investigating recent mysterious disappearances in city. Upon investigation, you discover the common thread is that all the missing people are Mer: Dunmer, Bosmer, and it seems especially Altmer. You do some more digging, and discover that a local human has connections to the cult, and you slowly unravel a conspiracy. The local ruler is an elf, and the Order is planning a coup to overthrow him and create a sort of independent religious state. Or something like that, I just think they'd come back after redent events

Personally I think it would be very interesting to see the empire descend into total civil war in the next game, eventually crumbling and making way for a new power, presumably the Thalmor. A complete restructuring of religion would make things really interesting, perhaps a return to the old elven aedra worship, while the rest of the former empire splits. To see a more distinct cultural revival of every culture opposing the Thalmor would be really world-changing...The Nords reverting to the worship of their old Atmoran gods, plus perhaps some deification of the last dragonborn, the Yokudan religion seeing a huge resurgence in Hammerfell, the strengthening of daedra worship in Morrowind, and the Imperial cult of the eight-and-one having a resurgence in High Rock, perhaps with some of the noble houses trying to use it to begin a new empire. Maybe even a resurgence in the worship of Sithis in Black Marsh.

It is why they hate Talos so much. He is the Imperial embodiment of the God of Mankind, Shezzar, Shor, Lorkhan, etc. and Tiber Septim achieved godhood through his mantling of the deity. In case anyone is confused, The Eight Divines make more sense if you think of them as the spirits of celestial bodies rather than humanoids. In real life, the Romans named the five planets that could be seen in the night sky after their gods Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. This same kind of astrological worship in The Elder Scrolls explains how there are shared gods within the pantheons of men and mer. It is also commonly accepted that Oblivion is the void between Mundus and Aetherius, containing the planets or ‘realms’ of each Daedric Prince.

Interestingly enough, people forget that the Nords betrayed their Breton allies to side with Tiber Septim, because they did not entirely trust the Bretons. "After the successful pacification of Old Hroldan, Nord and Breton nobles, rightfully fearing the ambitious Colovian king and his undefeatable general, formed an alliance and invaded northern Cyrodiil. The resounding victory at Sancre Tor was the turning point of the conflict, as the Nordic generals, suspicious of their Breton allies, flocked to join Talos' armies.[3] This trend of recruitment would continue for the next ten years in Skyrim, especially among young men.[4] Finally able to turn his attention to internal affairs, Cuhlecain unified the Colovian Estates in under a year. Not much more passed before the rest of Cyrodiil shared a similar fate, with the Imperial City itself being captured in 2E 854. Just as he was preparing to crown himself Emperor of All Cyrodiil, Cuhlecain was assassinated, circumstances of which are subject to much controversy. In his stead, general Talos was crowned by the Imperial Battlemage Zurin Arctus as Tiber Septim, founding the Septim Dynasty. Over the next ten years he waged war with most of the neighboring nations, to claim them for his new Empire, but never again doing it personally, preferring to work on administration of the newly conquered territories.[2] The jarls of Skyrim and the petty kings of High Rock were the first to fall."

No, the Last Dragonborn has no rightful claim for the throne anymore. The whole ordreal of ''Dragonborn = Emperor'' dates back to Reman Cyrodiil, who added the ritual involving the Amulet of Kings and the Dragonfires in becoming a legitimate Emperor. With the Amulet of Kings destroyed, and the Dragonfires no longer existing, this part of the tradition became moot.
@sorrowdusk50684 жыл бұрын
@@dutchpatriot17 Still as They said in the video, the belief that Having Akatosh's blessing is still Culturally ingrained. so yes while the amulet of kings is destroyed the proof of Dragon Blood( as Arngeir said our insane thuee'm were almost distinctive) would give us a lot of credence, Same as the Jagged Crown in Skyrim would give a lot of Credit to whomever we give it to.

Master is pretty easy even with very obscure builds, but legendary is another tale. It all depends on how much running and kiting you're willing to do, plus hiding behind followers until you're a high level. Only way to find out is to test yourself and see what you're able to do.

So here is the only religion based question I have. How did akatosh stop Dagon? By the origin story Akatosh gave some of his power to form Nirn and Dagon did not. So either the lore is wrong or the Aedra were way more powerful before Nirn and even giving up the majority of their power they remain stronger than the Daedra
@amilcare49014 жыл бұрын
Afaik: The Aedra are bound to Nirn. That's why they are probably more powerful there.

I've never understood why you can't seize control of the Empire. Every game you are doing all the work. Especially in Skyrim. As a Dragon born you could claim divine right of rule and have the power to kill anyone that opposed you.
@Frame_Late4 жыл бұрын
@@steven20653 technically, you could claim divine right and what is left of the blades would be sworn to uphold it. It was speculated that the false emperor's that succeeded Martin Septim betrayed the blades so they wouldn't turn on the empire when another dragon-born inevitably appeared. They replaced them with the Penatus Occulatus, who were loyal to the Second Septim Dynasty. If you were able to prove that you were dragon-born, the nords and much or the empire would side with you and you would have grounds to start a succession war, especially if you helped the dark brotherhood kill Uriel Septim. There would be an inexperienced boy king on the throne with subjects that don't respect him, a disloyal army, and a rebellious clergy. And not only could you claim Tiber Septim's line, by you could also claim St. Alesia's as well, since she was made dragon-born by Akatosh to protect the realm of Nirn as long as the Dragonfire were lit and the amulet of kings was held by the dragon blood. You could claim to be a living god abd few would question it. Much of Tamriel would support you then. You also are ten times what Talos was at the end of Skyrim.

Even though the modern day imperials aren't supposed to worship Talos, you can bet the vast majority of them still do in their own way. And, given that, they probably roll their eyes at the nords who want to make such a fuss and who claim the imperials have abandoned him. I suspect the average imperial laborer in a tavern often spews rhetoric about dumb nords up north who can't see the forest for the trees and such. Imperials are just taking what's given, as their faith and empire wanders along through history.
