Honestly, my Mercedes c300 is rated for 91 and I usually put 94 in it and I would get upwards of 800km per tank. Recently I’ve been using 91 last two tanks. And I’ve gotten around 650km per tank with no change in driving styles and I’m all highway basically. Huge difference

I completely believe it. It varies by car, some see very little difference, while others see big jumps, like yours and mine. Also, these test did prove that fuel company choice makes a big difference too

@@NexusAuto 94 makes a big difference in turbo engines

@@BasilMinhas Very true. The high octane helps the higher compression on many turbo engines.

Thank-you for the videos. Thank-you for reminding me that some cars give better fuel economy on hi - test ⛽ I'm trusting you regarding the ref-line fu we l gauge. She'll poor mileage does surprise me, but I never seen the results on ⛽ economy by 91shell. Did Canadian Tire really run better through?

No problem at all! It has varied by vehicle! My dad's 07 Trailblazer seems to get better mileage with Costco gas, whereas my 13 Infiniti (which was used in the test) was best with Canadian Tire. And yep, it really did make a difference. Even earlier this year, I went and tried Mobil and Petro again. I got better Mileage with Mobil this time around vs when I did the test, but not much better. Petro was about the same. I went back to Canadian Tire and there is indeed a difference, even in how it drives. So the fuel company makes a difference for sure, but I also think it depends on manufacturer and engine too. Only way to know for sure is to test it yourself

That’s great but the real question is , What octane gave you you better burnouts ?
@NexusAuto Жыл бұрын
Hahaha That's a good question. That'll be a great test for another day...but I wouldn't do that test in this test car.....unless I want the transmission to explode lol

Please tell.me the difference betwin 93 oct and 94 oct
@NexusAuto2 жыл бұрын
Not much really, other than area. My area doesn't sell 93, but 94. Some areas is vice versa. Octane level only has to do with resistance to engine detonation in the combustion chamber, so unless your engine needs higher octane, or can adjust timing accordingly, it's not going to make much difference
