Thank you for having Michael on. So refreshing to hear how he is able to remain so balanced. Have been blessed to meet Michael once and he is one of the most humble people I’ve ever met. Thank you again.

Okay, Rich, I watch some, not all, of your podcast, and I enjoy them. When your guest mentioned the Katy Trail in Missouri, I had to comment. I, like you, am an attorney, cyclist, and runner. I’m working on swimming. Anyway, I have ridden the Katy Trail, and it is fantastic. So if you ever make your way to the midwest, specifically Missouri, you must ride/run the trail and let your views know so we can ride/run with you. Keep up the excellent work: peace and love.

Love it. Keen for this episode Rich! You and your content inspired me to get running and I’ve gone from tapping out at a few km’s to running for 80mins and 10km+ just months later.

I love these interviews! This was excellent, inspiring. While two-thirds in and listening to all of his activities besides running like owning a business, also playing pickle ball, etc., Rich asks him how he has time... and I wanted to know more about his wife like what were her interests and how does she navigate time for them. I imagine she’s the backbone for the family holding down the fort while supporting her husband. I just want to take a moment and give her props 👏🏻👏🏻

I’m impressed by all Mike’s accomplishments. Most of the conversation was helpful and inspiring to me. There were moments, though, when I felt that he did not understand the privilege he has in this world. Most people don’t have the money or resources to access the adventures that he goes on and wants to pursue, especially while raising a family. He did not express much gratitude to all the people who must help him achieve his goals.

He holds down a full time job and works hard to support his family while running. If he can afford to travel around the world and get to run good on him. He is the one who has to put in the training and do the hard work to achieve his goals. Those who help him do it because they want to.

When they were joking about his job being top secret and possibly CIA, I thought "I bet the answer is super lame in comparison". I was definitely wrong, what a cool guy

Yeah, Now that I have two Kids I am doing more Sports than ever. I am fitter than I was 20 years ago, sitting on the Sofa and watching DVDs. My Kids taught me the importance of staying healthy and training for longevity. Right now I never have been that strong as I am now in Weightlifting and I never had lesser Bodyfat. Not in spite of, but because of, my Kids 🎉

The DC talk is funny. I lived in Oxen Hill when I was young, in a trailer park but now those are all torn out and it's very urban with a big mall by the river.

Those trucks and random people aggressing runners for no reason 🤯🤯🤯 how can this even be a thing?!? Crazy. Shocking. I was not aware of this. So sad. Those are the moments when I secretly hope that there really is such a thing as karma 📝😅

Watch 7:14. She’s obviously supportive. If she wasn’t, none of his achievements would be possible. Sometimes love is sacrificial in the moment. Just know and understand that a family dynamic would not succeed as his has if it was solely one sided.

At about minute 53 Rich discusses a documentary, "Dark Moments of the Soul" by Ricky. I can't seem to find the documentary or the book. Can anyone direct me to where I might find that? I may have gotten the title or name (s)wrong.

Just some constructive feedback. I miss Rich's original interview-room set-up, where it felt like you were in someone's bedroom or personal office-library, and Rich and his guest were sitting like three-feet apart from each other. There were shelves within view, filled with books and knick-knacks and such. The current studio feels like some cold, sterile, dark corporate boardroom. And why are they sitting sooooo far apart from one another?! There's no intimacy here. Lastly, do we really need these two-hour-plus marathon interview sessions? With the wrong guest, these can be grueling; I often abort ship after a half hour. I think an hour-and-fifteen minutes to 90 minutes, tops, is more than enough time to conduct a good interview. Again, just my two cents. 😃
