I love my X-T4 for weddings! The footage is incredible, paired with the sigma 18-35 1.8 I almost never want shoot with anything else throughout the day. Awesome work.
@KismetCreative2 жыл бұрын
The XT4 is an amazing camera. I just wish the IBIS was a bit better. I sold my 18-35 when I picked up the Pana S5 and really mix that lens. You have a killer combo!
@ErbVideoProductions2 жыл бұрын
@@KismetCreative It seriously is! I don't think I'll ever get rid of that 18-35 so long as I have a camera that can use it
@BenHolbrookWeddingFilms2 жыл бұрын
@@ErbVideoProductions I have the same combination and love it. Can I ask... Do you shoot autofocus or manual? It's nowhere near as reliable as, say, the 18-55mm Fuji lens. I also find that if you're filming and then you change the focal length, it almost always looses focus and then can't find it again until you've stopped recording...
@ErbVideoProductions2 жыл бұрын
@@BenHolbrookWeddingFilms I shoot auto for weddings 90% of the time. It does loose focus whenever your change focal length but I've found it will regain focus maybe 9/10 times. With that being said though I almost never change focal length while filming. I also use the AF area mode and touch the screen to change the focus area as I shoot
@BenHolbrookWeddingFilms2 жыл бұрын
@@ErbVideoProductions Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah I know what you mean, it does "eventually" refocus haha! It's not that I want the "zoom" to be included, but sometimes I'll shoot a scene at one focal length and then zoom in to shoot from a different angle - I like to do this without stopping and starting the recording to save time. Anyhow, I suppose it's a small compromise to make for such stunning image quality. Thanks - I'm a new subscriber and looking forward to more of your videos (even if it seems you're more Sony than Fuji these days haha!). Cheers :)

@KismetCreative2 жыл бұрын
@@ifeanyiisitor7929 Honestly, I really didn't work too hard to get the footage to look how it does. From memory (it's a while back now), I just adjusted the WB (if necessary), blacks to close to 0, whites close to 95 ish and then a look LUT on top (Adagio by White in Revery set to around 50-60%). Hope that helps!

I own a XT3 and there is definetely no 14 stops of dynamic range) Maybe 11.5 - 12 The only true 14 - 15 DR stops camera is Arri)
@KismetCreative3 жыл бұрын
Yes I'm sure you're right. I don't measure dynamic range myself, but I believe that's the number Fuji claims. Usually the real numbers are 2 or so stops less. Either way, my point is that the value of the XT3 is very very good, and the dynamic range is still up there with the much more expensive mirror-less and DSLR cameras.

Wow! I have the xt4 and love it but the issues you mention below definitely have me thinking about the A7S3. Honestly , this is the best xt4 footage out there . So crisp ! How do you get everything so In focus on the wide shots? I mean everything is in focus right up to the edges. Just open up to f11 perhaps ??
@KismetCreative3 жыл бұрын
Hey Steve, thanks so much! There's no secret to the focus - honestly it's all shot wide open with autofocus! There were times when the AF missed though, and I obviously cut those sections out. But it worked well enough for the edit. I think the XT4 is a firmware update or 2 from being really great. The overheating needs some work as does the ibis. It's a shame the XT3 is no longer discounted as I think it's much better value. For now, I'm keeping my GH5 around, for the ibis and reliability. Shooting HLG on both systems enables me to match up really well. That's my set up for now. The A7S3 is so expensive, and just won't ever justify it's price for my workflow. And in all honesty, is a little too clinical looking for my taste. I much much prefer the image from the Fujis. Fingers crossed those kinks get worked out.

How do you like the kit 18-55 in terms of autofocus and image? Definitely thinking of getting it over the 16-55 2.8!
@KismetCreative3 жыл бұрын
I like it a lot! It has good image quality and nice and light. The AF is good, but I have never used the 16-55 so I can't compare I'm afraid. Where I am it's only $15 to rent the 16-55 so I think I'm mostly going to stick with the kit lens and rent the 16-55 for shoot where I'd like a slight bump in IQ. Hope that helps!

Will overheating makes it unusable? I am looking for short films/webseries shoot
@KismetCreative3 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any issues - yet. I've had barely any weddings to shoot this year so no long clips to test the overheating. It does make me nervous though, which is why I'll be keeping my GH5 around. But, for short films and web series I think you should be fine. I've seen a few you tubers get around the overheating by just adding a sunshade. One thing I would say, the XT3 had no overheating issues, and if you're willing to forgo the IBIS with the XT4 (which is an update or two away from being usable, in my opinion), the XT3 offers better value. Hope that helps!
