hello tudor, I am using XPRO3 for 2 months now, but I have a question regarding the framelines on the OVF when I am using manual lenses. Why are there 2 framelines? One is thinner than the other. I am not sure which one to follow thank you!
@Tudor_Mateescu2 жыл бұрын
In general I'm using the external frame as a guide but the framing will work ok from 1.5 m and above with a 35mm adapted lens. This is normal, this is how a Leica range finder works too. If you use a Fuji x mount lens than you'll have more accuracy but not 100%. And you'll see the frames moving depending on the focusing of the lens. I will investigate too why they are two lines (didn't thought about that till now) 🤔 but maybe it's Fuji way of telling you, that you have an adapted lens and be attentive to the framing and distance to the subject....

Hi bro! I suggest to use a kinda neutral position between those line, both of the line is the two limit of focus distance of your manual lens, so try to fit in the middle or follow your focus distance, Good luck!

Thanks for these tips! I've been wondering about it since I started putting manual lenses. I tried to put the erf on just to check if I am framibg it right, but I notice that sometimes it goes along with the thick one and other times no. I just thought that maybe there is a significance as to why one line have more emphasis than the other (thicker). Anyways, thank you and I'll try more experimenting about this!

Do you find that this hurts the battery life much?
@Tudor_Mateescu2 жыл бұрын
Good question. I've let this setting on since I've made the video and I feel that battery life isn't affected at all. I don't feel that battery it's draining faster.

Hi Tudor, I am using a fuji 23mm f2 lens, but the frame lines move whenever i rack focus with the focus ring. I would like to have the frame lines constantly too but cannot figure out how to do it
@Tudor_Mateescu Жыл бұрын
You can't do that with a native lens, because it's adjusting for the parallax. The only way is to use a third party manual focusing lens, like TTARTISAN 23mm F1.4

@@Tudor_Mateescu that's disappointing :(

Hi! Do you know if this trick can work with a manual analog lens (with an adapter), in the fujifilm x pro2? I'm subscribed to your channel! Thanks!

Hi! On xpro3 it's working with an adapter and an analog lens. I don't know on xpro2 because I didn't had that camera. Thank you

@@Tudor_Mateescu Hi! I want to ask you a new question about the analog lens and adapter. If you got an 28mm analog lens, and then a 100mm analog lens, how you can comunicate that to the OVF to change the size of the white line guides? You can do that? (i mean, because the analog lens, they have no comunication with the camera) I think you can manually change on the menu, the size of the rectangle frame (28mm, 35mm etc), but i'm not quite shure. Thanks!!
@Tudor_Mateescu2 жыл бұрын
@@dndantiochia yes, you have in the menu that option. Also Fuji it's selling a "smart" adapter that has a button that's making the accessing of the menu easier. You have 5 slots if I remember exactly (I don't have the camera on me right now to check it). You can add a name and a focal length - and this enters in the exif data and you'll see it in Adobe Lightroom - so you'll know with witch lens you've made the picture.

just put the camera in manual mode and the frame lines will be fixed, with any lens...

Can you still zone focus with the adaptor and analog Len?
