Fujifilm X-T1

Fujifilm is maybe the new Canikon of the mirrorless. The other big contender is the Olympus/Panasonic camp. Fujifilm in just 2 years brought lots of good stuff, excellent bodies and lenses. Where is Canon, where is Nikon in this highly competitive MILC market? I still love my 5D Mark 2 and D800, but the bulk of those bodies and huge lenses are tempting me to dump those heavyweights and jump totally into the Fujifilm world. I just got a Fujifilm X-E1 with the beautiful kit lens for 719$ and grabbed the 199$ 27mm pancake. Already loving this new system! Matt should I sell off the full frame dinosaurs?

Would love to see the results with the 56mm f/1.2! Why can't more companies make a f/1.2?!

Every company looks at lens they think they can sell the most and then tell their engineers to make. Most camera companies have one lens everyone wants. Like how Canon have the 85mm f1.2.

Im a very proud x100s & x-e1 owner. And looking forward to getting the x-t1. I hope 2014 is the year mirrorless will catch on! Dslr's are still the standard and still have a huge market share. The x-series are only really catching on with a small niche market. Hopefully fuji film x is here to stay!

I cant see why Nikon and Canon are determined not to include focus peaking and wifi as standard on all their line up? I think its time togo mirrorless.

I bought the XE-1 when it came out and still love it. The XT-1 fixes everything about the XE-1 that needed fixing,might be that time to upgrade. I use a lot of old MF lenses,love that split screen function Matt.

I had borrowed Fujifilm X-T1 for 2 days, then I know practically where is the power of the camera, not in the next technical features but image quality, color fidelity and tonal aspect of picture quality is amazing. That's what Fuji image quality beats all the competition, regardless of the size of the matrix and other crap.

Hey Matt, Could you do a x-trans vs full frame video? Fujifilm says that the x-trans aps-c sensor is as good as a Bayer full frame... Would be very nice!

Borrowed a friends for the weekend as I've been vacillating between this and the X-E2. I love the feel of this camera especially the grip and build quality. That viewfinder is amazing and much more enjoyable (and functional) to use than the gimmicky hybrid on the X-Pro-1. I can take or leave the dial layout, but what drove me absolutely bonkers was the recessed function buttons and that rubbish d-pad. Like trying to text with mittens on. Thought I would get used to it but after 3 days it was, if anything, worse. For now I'm going with the X-E2 (with the optional grip and a thumb rest for added stability) so I can get into that awesome lens lineup and amazing image quality while I wait patiently for the X-t2.

I pre ordered already, it was enough to jump to mirrorless, for me anyway...my only concern is the dial locks, I have some peralasis in my hands, im hoping they will be about as stiff as the nikon dial locks as that is manageable, if they are not I might not be able to use it lol

love my xe1 IQ but will upgrade to that love the fuji layout and they upgrade there firmware really well

Matt are you ever going to come out with the XT1 review along with the 56 f1.2, we all know you have one, did you actually buy it ? I would really love to see it put up against the DF in a head to head, and I would like to hear you talk about what it's actually like to use, is it a camera that becomes second nature to use, or does it drive you crazy

Im impressed with the Xt1 and contemplating on plunging into the world of mirrorless cameras and the xt1! But i have been a nikon shooter and have accumulated quite a good number of nikon lenses. As such the transition from nikon to fuji would be a lot easier if i could use my nikon lenses on the fuji. How good do the advertised adapters work? What are the disadvantages of using them with other lenses vs using fuji dedicated lenses?

the adapters are good, but only if you dont care about the little delay when using AF, it takes a little bit more to get things in focus, not a problem if you dont shoot action

If it has a limited internal memory, could you sneak a photo or two and then transfer by nfc or Wi-Fi?

Hey MATT !!!! I do street photgraphy do you think this camea is descreet small and quiet enough for my purpose or will i be intimidating ppl like a dslr oh does it have the film art pilters you know like the provia and the velvia 50 ???

Hey hows the refresh rate for the EVF? is it fast as the label saids .005 refresh time? Also how is it during low light? Have you tested?

If this was a full frame mirrorless camera it would have been the complete package. It looks way sexier than the half ass DF. Nikon is slipping up.

very nice camera - but NO IS in body ! and No IS in their super nice Primes - I wish they would copy Olympus and have IS in body or IS in their fast Primes - I just need IS :) I think the X-T1 will steal most of the Sony NEX7 users - which where waiting for an update but only got an update to the NEX6. - So Sony is saying we are only tailoring the old NEX A5000/A6000 for beginners or less serious photographers - So therefore we that explains why there are no fast zooms for the E-mount - Rightly the X-T1 one deserves the praise - minus no ISIB and No Touch LCD - I think Matt should start using more mirror-less cameras :) so much lighter and smaller

Just curious, is this channel finished ? it seems like a very along time since I have seen anything posted to this channel ? I gave you a comment a long time ago about how I thought you were spreading yourself to thin with all your channels, and I advised you to keep your direction more focused, and I think you probably just blew the comment off, like all my comments, but like your cooking channel, it seems like this one has also gone away, i'm not hear to say I told you so, but maybe just to say that when i leave you a comment giving you advice, my heart is in the rite place, i'm not commenting just to piss you off and waste my time, even though sometimes maybe I push your buttons a little bit, but i'm still one of your longest subscribers, because I enjoy your photography related videos, even though your first videos you had no personality, but that changed for the better, anyway I have always wished for you to succeed in whatever you were trying to do, so you can hate me or love me, it doesn't matter, but at least be happy I have supported you from the beginning, take care

Sell that stupid Nikon DF and get the X-T1 the 23mm the 56mm and the metabones speed booster for Nikon F mount and enjoy pure photography!!!! Wait till you see what happens when you stick the metabones to the 50 1.2 or the 135 DC. That is some Bokeh porn with boudoir photography!!! Can't wait to see the review!
