Full Day of Eating at the Dollar Store in canada

Groceries got you down? On a fixed income, a student out on your own, or just looking for a few meal ideas on the cheap! There’s not too much in the grocery aisle at the dollar stores in Canada but I used my imagination and came up with 3 full meals and a snack all for less than 8$!
Most quick meals available are processed, high carb, no protein, no fiber, high fat concoctions that don’t satisfy. Check mine out, they’re a big step in the right direction! Remember what we’ve got to work with!

That must have been quite the challenge, Mama T. Knowing your preference for healthy foods you must have been at your wit's end trying to find anything reasonable. But you took it on and you did a great job. A lot of folks who are on a budget can learn from this. Another terrific video.

Love it! So ingenious to make stuffing into waffles! I wonder how many calories it all added up to, and the total macros. Did your cameraman want to try your creations, and if so, did he like them? 😋 Please do this again soon! Maybe from a discount grocery store that has fresh produce and dried beans, etc.

Amazing video! One thing is, don’t be afraid to buy real produce on a budget. Most ethnic grocery stores have cheaper fruit, veggie and meat, you can live quite well for $20 to $30 of grocery, which is what she spent here…

the good ole dollar tree haha, usually i just go there for party supplies... the dollar stores here in america (we have a few types such as dollar general, dollar tree, quick buck, etc) do have a cold section but its for single serve items mainly

We don’t have any of those chains Jon and really not too many Dollar Tree’s. Dollarama is our go-to. Only thing in the fridge is coke etc 😩 Hope you’re doing well! 🏋🏼‍♂️💪🏼🍺🥃🍕🤣

The Dollar Trees here in the US have a refrigerated and frozen section.Do you have any 99 cent stores in Canada?They’re a bit bigger and sell fresh and frozen produce and vegetables and have more variety in pantry staples in general.
