There was a bit of an awkward period when you guys first moved to LA where it felt like maybe the series should have ended, but once you got proper desks and got the groove going again that era produced some of my all-time favourite episodes. All the hindsight chat about Bitcoin kinda underscores how the scam worked and still works. The early adopters (who, with the most recent currencies, are also usually the inventors and primary marketers of the currency) control most of the coins, so once the suckers start showing up and clamoring to buy, they're able to sell at massive profits, but by the time anyone that isn't a predatory tech douche goes "boy, maybe I could make money off of this, too", the so-called currency has just become penny stocks comprised of fractions of coins that are impossible to turn a real profit on unless you're *already* rich enough to run pump-and-dump schemes, and mining the currency is at that point so difficult (due to the inherent and intentional deflationary nature of the currency) that it would cost more to set up your mining rig than you could ever possibly make from the actual mining.

To be fair, they did their show Lonely and Horny, and they have dozens of videos on Headgum where they stray from traditional Jake and Amir. I think the rest of if just didn't catch on so they're forced to lean on Jake and Amir even though they tried to move on

When they quit CH the webseries belonged to CH so they couldn't make more. They did a pilot for the Jake and Amir TV show for TruTV which was not picked up. They then started a podcast network which is a lot of work since it was just Jake, Amir, Marty and an engineer I think. They then shot 2 seasons of Lonely and Horny for Vimeo, while making the occassional Headgum sketch. Now that they have the rights to make more J&A webseries they're doing it again.
