I bought a brp helmet with the rubber breath box that takes a filter, it’s the only helmet in my 42 years of being on this earth and wearing glasses that has zero fog issues, I actually wouldn’t even wear a helmet because of fogging but I had to be a good example for my kids, best 300 bucks I have ever spent in my life

I had mine fog with the fxr breath box. Went with fxr cold stop anti-fof face mask to get better seal for my goggles. It also helps keep my face warm, no taping any vents required. Also noticed the vents helped with clearing the warm air the contributes to fogging. Fxr and ckx half both make half face masks which you should try. I ride like you and it works perfectly for me.

this past weekend i opened vents, tape more, untaped etc etc and still getting the fog. i do NOT understand why ahahah. its very annoying. ill look into them

I have been working in the snow gear industry for nearly a decade for several different manufacturers. I have access to a lot of stuff and have used and tested gear from all major snowmobiling related manufacturers. FXR works fairly well, but its on the heavy side. Everything they make (even the non-float stuff) feels very bulky and you can really notice that bulk when riding 250+ mile days. They use a proprietary waterproofing membrane which I don't find to be totally windproof, especially when it comes to their non-insulated gear. Pretty good stuff, but not on par with Klim, Ski Doo, Tobe, or even Motorfist.

Buy a CKX titan heated goggle tif you want a moto style helmet that's warm. My buddy has one and loves it. I use a mission and it's been fantastic.

these are normally fine. ive ridden in -30 and been fine. just dont know why im fogging all of a sudden

Klim boa boots with the quick adjust no laces and can make very tight. Warm and waterproof too. Also klim heated gloves and you don’t need gauntlets anymore. Klim tech vest is never a bad idea too to prevent collar bone injuries etc.

heated gloves are too nig. i dont mind my gaultlets at all actually. Ive had boa boots. nice but i dont mind the laces

I'm a moto guy and that fog right at my 👁️ is the reason I have a ckx carbon, I didn't think I would like it but 30 and below it's great. 30 and above is too warm. Has great field of view though.

i just cannot for the life of me figure out why now. Ive never had an issue with fogging in the last 7 years. i switch helmets and boom now i have an issue. i heard the same thing about the CKX

Your goggles are fogging because you taped up the helmet vents in the front of the helment. Helmet and goggles are a system, like snow skiing. The helmet vents into the goggles and thats what equalizes the temp and keeps them from fogging. If they are not vented then your body creates way more heat and the temp diff from the outside causes condensation/fog in your goggle.

hey! SO thats also what i thought. but have taken it all off and still fogging. went back to my fly helmet and no fogging at all. not even the slightest bit so now im totally stumped

Buy the Klim Arctic balaclava and throw that FXR breath box in garbage. The Klim Arctic has a built in breath box in the balaclava which is also made of Gore Wind stop. It fits fairly close around your eyes - so make sure your goggles sit on the balaclava and not your bare skin. Make sure you wear your goggles fairly on the tighter/snug side and you'll never fog again, and the lack of a helmet breath box is more comfortable!

That fogging is probably how that breath box is sitting on your face, behind the goggle. Try w/o it or try getting a better seal

I run my CKX Mission for when its colder than 10 degrees or so. Its an incredible piece of engineering and works flawlessly. But on warmer sunny days, I still prefer a good carbon snow cross helmet with goggles.
