This SUV is a beast to go this fast as a box on the track, then tear up the gravel off-road that's amazing. A G63 on the Nurburgring wow. Everything AMG touches is just amazing every Mercedes 140MPH in a G Wagon on a track, mind-boggling. This SUV is worth definitely the price of admission to own one.

Yeah ESP can be turned off completely in a Mercedes by engaging the dyno roller mode through the secret menu on cluster. How to access it differs between steering wheel and cluster models. Easiest to just search youtube with the model and year etc

It’s very true that in some situations traction control can and will put you in danger, it has happened to me the day I simply forgot to switch it off, driving on snow uphill, one can mange a controlled slip to get where you want to get, only to be surprised by traction control intervening that sent me in the opposing lane facing the wall, naturally at very slow speeds , where oncoming traffic was barely able to miss me and although I couldn’t hear them, if I were them I’d be cursing me to hell too😡😡😡😡, turned that thing completely off (thankfully in older cars you still CAN), and continued home. In fact I’ve driven on public roads 20 years either cars that don’t have any, or cars where I could turn it off COMPLETELY, and yes I AM worried about newer cars simply NOT understanding that I have MORE experience than them, AND know these roads in multiple conditions AND know the state of my tires, (I do daily drive with it off ) I hate being babied this much. I’ve also taken parts in many off road recoveries where traction control was in fact the source of getting stuck, especially in cars made in the past 5-6 years

Method 2: Full Deactivation (ESP Off) Press and Hold the ESP Button: Hold it for a few seconds (typically around 3-5 seconds). Look for ESP Off Indicator: The dashboard should display a message or icon indicating that ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is fully off.

Almost flip over on the curb.. the Intervention saved you Over confidence is probably Biggest error from an experienced driver .. from most of the fatal G-Wagen crashes over the years have occurred when they rollover. All the safety tech the world at present will not help a high center of gravity SUV from rolling over at speed. Then again the G wasn't originally designed for speed.
