Same. Every 2 weeks I was paying at least $180. The main thing I loved about my nail girl was not only is she bomb but she doesn’t really use gel polishes unless she’s doing intricate paintings (characters and stuff like that) or unless someone request it. She uses colored acrylics which I love. So I’ve started learning to do my own. I’m fairly good on myself, others not so much lmao.

This is truly an art, and you have mastered it! I’ve tried those at home kits and it’s so hard to do. I’ll leave it to professionals like y’all. When you’re patting it down and smoothing the bead, do you re-dip in the monomer?

thank you so much! honestly some of these beginner kits suck depensing on where you are getting them from. using quality products is crucial because it will make or break your experience. and if you feel like the bead was a bit dry you can redip your brush in the monomer and then brush but you have to move quick.

hey, i do not use a basecoat of acrylic nails only when doing polish on natural nails. you use a gel basecoat for gel polish and regular basecoat for regular nail polish
