The extra long Wagoneer in this video looks like the one Jeep Dealer / Racer Brian Chuchua built. The build was documented in an article OFF-ROAD magazine back in the early 70s . I think the article did say it was built on a J20 chassis and using the combination of Wagoneer and Cherokee Chief bodies. Nice well thought out vehicle.

Gotta love the "expert" that said you could get a Cherokee Chief with a Buick Dauntless V6! They never came with this engine option from the factory. In fact the Chief or SJ was built from 1974 through 1983 by AMC. Kaiser Jeep used the Buick engines up through 1970 Prior to the "Cherokee Chief". The Cherokee Chief came with the AMC 258ci straight 6, AMC 360ci V8 and an Optional AMC 401ci. V8. Sorry...I just had to comment.

@@agentnuget are you posotive? My grandfather was a Jeep salesman from 74 to 91 and he never seen or less heard of one of these "Super Chief" with 3 row seating, not even for overseas. He said a company used to stretch out Willys Wagons for extra doors and space.

Where's the j series pick up trucks guys. j4000, j20, comanche, honcho? heck Where's the gladiator? I know they're rare-ish but you guys could find something. I have an old 71' gladiator j4000. (pretty darn rare. gladiator chassis, j4000 body, yes it was factory build like that) it was part of a special order for wild land services up in Montana. the truck i have was an old fire truck. it carried a huge water pump in the truck bed. wild land services ordered about 80 of these things. mine ended up being the 7th one made, which I think is freaking awesome. (Vin, 3408W19 600007) i'm 16 right now and I'm almost done getting It fixed up. my dad and i have been working on it on and off since about '06 and it's almost done! the engine has always ran almost perfectly but it still has the original wiring in it from 71. that's what I'm gonna be doing this summer is rewiring the whole thing. It originally had the dauntless 360 v8. but in '78 wild land services replaced the 360 in a few of the pickups with a 401 v8. which makes it a little less valuable since it doesn't have the original engine. I grew up with this thing and my dad gave It to me a few years ago as my first vehicle. and im so excited to be finished with it!

Grand Wagoneers started in '84. Before that, they were just Wagoneers, and Wagoneers were available after '84 without the woodgrain. Before '84, Wagoneers could be had with wide woodgrain, and on some years, narrow woodgrain. Not all Cherokees are Chiefs either. Chief is a trim package.

I almost got excited there for a minute. This is some of the content from MTOD and we are getting a free episode! Sweet! They have a scrapyard and some cool old Jeeps that they are showing. I'm here thinking that they are going to rescue/buy one of these Jeeps with all that MTOD money and fix it up with premium off road parts from their sponsors and then take it out and showcase the abilities of their project. Nope, they're just going to improv yack about these old vehicles and then say, well that's it! I'm not being ungrateful, just saying this was a lazy and misleading promo. MTOD you're not impressing anyone with this.
