This may be the very first time both have faced any sort of accountability. When the gravity of mackenzie's 'situation' was realized is when they really panicked. How would U like to have to explain the videos shown here from Facebook. The Judge didn't disrespect the victims as she rightfully realizes she will be well into her 50s by the time 'they' seriously consider releasing her. This isn't California or New York where they have 'revolving doors' on their prisons. The Parole Board will see these videos and the DMV paperwork as to the circumstances she 'obtained' her license and her mother's role in this. Mackenzie will have a very bad time adjusting to reality in Prison. Her family will also have a very bad time accepting this reality. They will have to delude themselves to function every day.

Mom herself didn't take accountability for her daughter's actions. It's hard for parents to see their children as murderers, but the video of the car speeding up and deliberately crashing it into the building, without regard to the people in her car, or the people in the building who could've potentially been hurt, shows her actions were deliberate. McKenzie's behavior, the videos, and the concert attendance show her callous disregard for the lives she took. The only remorse she feels is for herself. It was goulish that she would dress up as a corpse and was sickening. Her parents have never made her suffer any consequences and have created a narcissist. Mom hanging up on Dom's mother shows how selfish she is. She only worried about HER precious daughter. My deepest condolences to Dom's and Davion's families. The two handsome, intelligent, and kind young men had so much to offer to the world. And for Davion's family, your son was not just cargo. He was beautiful and worthy of the same attention and respect as anyone else. I'm so sorry that he was portrait as such. Please find healing, strength, and peace in the arms of Yeshua. He will carry your burdens. ❤❤❤❤

I understand everyone’s position on the Mother. She certainly didn’t help her daughter’s case. But if you’re a parent you don’t quit believing in your child or taking care of them. She refuses to believe her kid could do this purposely. Makes her blind but guess what. My wife is a teacher. We have witnessed parents of all walks of life defend their kids actions. Especially this generation of kids who has got to be the most entitled lazy generation I’ve seen yet.

The only thing the Judge said I agree with her on is to the effect that she will spend the remainder of her life in prison. She WILL be well into her 50s by the time she is seriously considered for Parole. The rest of what the Judge said gives the reasons why her sentence should have been consecutive, but she gave concurrent sentences. I don't understand why.

@FerroEquus-262 Given the circumstances of this case and if she was a man I would have to agree with you. But she WILL effectively spend the majority of the rest of her life in Prison. She will unwillingly be confronted by her words and actions as she will have a lot of time on her hands.
@Dbusdriver71

@FerroEquus-262 The important thing is that the families move forward with their lives and that means forgiving Mackenzie otherwise she will have taken down more lives than what was in the car with her. Hatred and unforgiveness will destroy friendships, marriages, and families. That is how deadly hatred and unforgiveness is. As I said, I also believe Mackenzie will spend the majority of the rest of her life in prison. This isn't california or new york. What ever aspiration or hopes she had are not gone. marriage, family; whatever. Let her family go around and make excuses for her. Don't let her make you her next victim, whether she can 'remember' it or not.

You think the law is bullshit in the US? Come to Australia, you'll definitely be dissapointed. You can kill someone here with intention and no one ever gets life, not even close to. A 33yo man killed a 20yo woman because she wasn't interested in him. He stalked her harrassed her and then one night smashed through the window to get to her and stabbed her multiple times. He even looked up her house plan and figured out where her bedroom was. He got 20 years because they couldn't prove he planned it. It's the worst system in Australia 🌏🦘 The mother has been fighting the system for 3 years.

She drove and went to a concert after this? Oh no. She didn’t fully feel the weight of what she did. It is true though, that the brain of a teenager isn’t fully developed until 25yrs old. Netflix has a whole series on how to commit suicide, it’s pushed in the kids faces, they also have other self-destructive behaviors flaunted in their faces… even by books their public school libraries choose to put on their book shelves. If society doesn’t shield and protect kids from these evils, they will impact some kids to make bad choices and influence their decision making, and someone else’s bad choices can negatively impact many innocent people. This is a horrible tragedy, I was crying the whole time I watched the police body cam of Dominic’s mother being told the news. I can not even imagine the sorrow. I pray for both boy’s families… and I also pray for this girl and her family. Even though this who situation seems like ashes, I pray that somehow God can bring something good from it all, so that those boys didn’t die in vain. God can take horrible things and bring something beautiful from it. Mothers, you will see your sons again, but I know it’s going to be what seems like eternity. I pray that your hearts are comforted and God brings you peace of heart… this all may spare the lives of countless people, teens… especially those cont I’m playing suicide right now. They likely haven’t thought about how devastating their deaths would be to their families, just thinking about escaping their own pain. This will save lives.

This is what happens when you tell your kids they are always right. That there are no consequences for actions. When parents fail to discipline then a judge has to step in. Judge didn't care if she was a model prisoner in juvie or if Mackenzie issued a fake statement in court. She had to step in and parent this girl because her mother didn't know how. She made her feel the weight of her actions and listen to all the pain she has caused. She didn't sugarcoat it like her parents did. This is just the beginning of it setting in. I hope she grows up in prison and realizes the implications of her crime. Listen up parents, when you don't lay down the rules at home, there will always be another parent who will step in and finish the job. Let that sink in.

@@MAR-nn1ncthe only person that railroaded Mackenzie is *Mackenzie.* It was *her* choice, *her* actions, and *her* selfishness, that got her where she is today. It’s pretty clear that her mother has enabled and made excuses for her for a long time. You know how you avoid being sentenced to prison for murder? You don’t purposefully drive over 100 miles per hour into a concrete wall with two passengers in the car. Something tells me that the person that made the above comment won’t be doing that.

That ignorant, disgusting, call out by the father and the mother's selfish rant - was a good insight into why McKenzie is what she is. The judge should have slapped that man down, the way she did his wife. McKenzie will learn starting today that she's not the only one who matters in this life. What a horrible waste of young lives. I hope the families of the boys find peace one day. 😔

I'm saying. "I'm remorseful, OK? My daughter was remorseful, OK? She dressed up for Halloween because I told her to, OK? I'm sorry to the families, OK? OK? What a condescending POS. Looks like crazy runs in the family here, this is not a bloodline that should continue.

It’s exactly how narcissists function. Never their fault, always the victim, pretend it feel empathetic on the outside. Grew up in a family of them, always blaming one person or an outside factor. They all need slapped and locked in prison without a key
