Chris was a genious. An outlander. Probably one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard! And the way and age that he "left" us was so sad. His voice and his being will linger. The crowd probably is made of teenagers that don't like his song, voice, type of music. That's it. Rock is dying my friend. Sadly. :( Chriiiiiiis seu lindo maravilhoso!!! Descanse em paz. R.I.P.

"Be Yourself" Someone falls to pieces Sleeping all alone Someone kills the pain Spinning in the silence To finally drift away Someone gets excited In a chapel yard Catches a bouquet Another lays a dozen White roses on a grave To be yourself is all that you can do To be yourself is all that you can do Someone finds salvation in everyone And another only pain Someone tries to hide himself Down inside himself he prays Someone swears his true love Until the end of time Another runs away Separate or united? Healthy or insane? To be yourself is all that you can do To be yourself is all that you can do To be yourself is all that you can do To be yourself is all that you can do And even when you've paid enough, been pulled apart or been held up With every single memory of the good or bad faces of luck don't lose any sleep tonight I'm sure everything will end up alright You may win or lose But to be yourself is all that you can do To be yourself is all that you can do

No disrespect to the band (they play it better than I could) but they seem like a really good cover band. Coming from working with Kim or Tom....well....this is pretty bland stuff. But not even Soundgarden played like Soundgarden at the end. I was there for the early years and there was an electricity that gets sucked out on big stages with all the attendant crap. I'd jump at the chance to see The Stones in a small club -- I bet they can still bring some fire. But I'd pass on the stadium thing for any of them.

Chris Cornell was not only a great singer, musician, composer and lyricist he was also the frontman of 2 of the greatest bands ever Soundgarden and Audioslave (and also Temple of the dogs and great solo carreer). Our attempt to pay a tribute to my personal favourite singer with Jim Morrison and our version of "Be Yourself" here.
