Chris Cornell is an underrated member of this movement and there are several reasons for this, among them: He was the pathfinder of Grunge SOUNDGARDEN was the first band to have a signature and to sort of authenticate this term grunge that didn't even exist before. He formed TEMPLE OF THE DOG which was a tribute to Andy (another underrated grunge band due to his early death) and with Eddie Vedder, which after this band, allowed the formation of Pearl Jam. And perhaps the most underrated reason of all is that Nirvana put grunge on the rise from SEATLLE but there were bands with better and much richer content than them. Cornell was more poetic than the Beatles, heavier than Black Sabbah and with a vocal timbre compared to Freddie Mercury. He was a musician with a combination of excellent vocal, melodic and artistic quality. NO ONS SINGS LIKE YOU ANYMORE.

"there were bands with better and much richer content than them" LOL that certainly why CC wore a Nirvana T-Shirt wayyy before they were famous and having absolutely no personal ties with any member of the band : go check what CC thinks of Nirvana but it is a common theme with some people nowadays and especially AIC diehards that Nirvana being the most recognizable and acknowledged band is considered overrated and KC is a mere junkie devoided of any kind of talent blablabla...come on...it is pointless debate to rank Seattle bands, the Seattle Big Four is awesome nuff said

The heartbreaking, and tragic way he left has made me think differently about life and existence...I cherish the pictures i took along with the awesome memories of a killer Soundgarden concert i went to in 2012 in Atlanta, GA! (I was close to the front like 4 ppl back, and i will never forget we made eye contact for like a brief second, i remember it vividly! I was just as big of a fan back then and i'll never forget that little fanboy moment lol!! Also, I love that everyone of us shares like a perceptive unity. Which is comforting to know that he will NEVER be forgotten, and neither will this timeless music!

I think he's just playing harmonics in a very impractical way!

This is the best performance of my favorite Audioslave song. Chris, Tom, and the guys crushed it in a delicate and precise, yet simultaneously forceful way.

Same here ... Chris is giving me strength through his music to deal with and give advice to some of my adult Childern that are going through tough times right now.. he is always with us, helping us through.. even after his death.. He still and will always live in my heart till the day I also die.. then maybe in the after life I will see him in Concert if he is still doing that sort of thing. I have high hopes of meeting him sometime on the other side. Rest In Peace Chris.

I really wish I had discovered Chris while he was alive but still into Allman’s, Dead, and raising 3 babies. Came across Chris 2 years ago and from there I was in love. He has saved me from some dark times. I am 67 now and Chris has led me to Andrew, PJ, and many from the grunge era as it was referred to. I am described as obsessed by some but I consider it reborn to an era I missed. One is never too old to discover great music and musicians. Thank you for this and to all who post videos for me to watch. ❤️

I'm so sorry. I got to see Audioslave once before I learned all their unknown songs. I had always hoped they'd come back. It's too bad you never got that privilege.
