Hearing him say that and knowing how everything went down, this makes a grown man choke up. Rest in Peace Peter. You were loved by millions...I just wish you made it millions plus one.

Hearing him talking about the political situation and how his words still hold up in 2021 almost makes me somewhat happy he isn’t here to see how much worse it has gotten. Today’s society represents much of what Peter hated about it. Then again, it would make for great song writing material. RIP king

"A lot harder to follow rules, than to break them". Interesting perspective. Lots of truth there...such a shame he is gone. Such an interesting individual and very talented artist, but obviously very tormented by something to chase him to chemicals and addiction.

My father had been battling stage 4 lung cancer and was being really weird about going to bed one night. Eventually told me he was afraid he wasn't going to wake up. He did wake up, but only to immediately have an episode that led to his death by the end of the evening. Last conversation I had with him.

If you don't understand Peter's humour you'd swear he was insane lol. But dam do i miss Peter & Type O so so much!! Peter was the reason i picked up a bass guitar in 1991 after hearing Type O's first album, 'Slow Deep And Hard'.

At about 15 I went to Home Depot and bought a few feet of heavy duty chain because Peter was so badass using it as a strap. Needless to say my heavy guitar got alot heavier and actually hurt my shoulder but still rocked it in honor of the green man.

He's right about how the music industry has gotten way too left-wing, and the most punk rock thing you can do in this business is to say anything right-wing. Rock n' roll is about flipping the proverbial bird to the status quo. He's going against the grain of what his peers are doing, and I tip my hat to him for being true to himself. Granted, the "open-minded liberals" will say all sorts of venemous things about him, but he could care less, so more power to him. Rest in peace Peter.

I don't think he was really down on himself, there's such a thing as self deprecating humility, which he definitely combined with a lot of irony. Like when he said "I'm a conformist" ... Type O has never conformed to rock music norms, starting with the way he plays bass AND the way he sings, which I can't even get away with doing wherever I go to jam. Pisses me off. For me, his range is a lot easier than Dio's!!

i was born with a heart murmur or irregular heart beat but out grew it & only when 30 and asked a doctor could he hear it?.......He said barely not would have noticed except i mentioned it. How do u out grow that or was I healed? I really adore Type O-Negative & sorry Peter Steele died at age 48. So has the other members gone into other bands? I at first thought he sounded German or Russian but not when talking...I will see if i can google it. Wonder if any of them had the Universal Blood Type?

Been a Type O Negative fan for 25 years but I'm disappointed at Peter for the Nazi references, whether it's meant seriously or mostly or even entirely facetiously there is no need and no place for it and it poisons his otherwise fascinating discourse.

He looks haunted and white as a sheet here, God bless him. Looks like many sleepless nights, he was in a very dark place. I'm glad he got sober for his last year and got religion and peace of mind, I hope he found some comfort from that.
