Amazing peak numbers but holy turbo lag. Peak torque at nearly 6k. That's terrible for anyone trying to daily this car.

EA888 is a beast of an engine block when all kinks and gremlins have been worked out. Just curious, and not beating on a dead horse, are you guys still using OEM timing chain, tensioner, balance shafts, oil pump? If there were any mods/upgrades on parts internals, not rod or piston bearings, etc, more asking more on cam bridge, cooling system, water pump?!

With my research from this engine, the bottom end forged could take a lil beating it’s the head that doesn’t have enough flow on these if vw came out with a 4-5 port design head like the guys from eco tune in the uk did, these engines can push way more.

@@blam9346 I know, I own one, 2024 R, and also a DSG MK6 GTi, IE stage 2, both are fun to drive in their own way. I rebuilt the engine on the Mk6, never loses a drop of oil besides what is found in the OCC.
