Fun and Fast Fat Quarter Quilt using Crayola Fabric

Check out this tutorial for a Quick Fat Quarter Quilt using Crayola fat quarters from Riley Blake along with a rainbow color print. Are you ready to make your first quilt of 2022? Make this easy pattern and have some fun with color. I am using the same cuts that we used in my last quick fat quarter quilt, but arranging in a different way to give a whole new look. Check out how quickly you too can create a fun quilt using up those fat quarters that you already have.

I love your top. I mix 50/50 rubbing alcohol and fabric softener a little water and essential oil to make my “starch” for my ironing. You can also use to just get wrinkles out of your clothes by spraying it out pulling a little then let dry.

When ironing with starch spray the starch on the wrong side and iron on the right side so you pull the starch up thru the fabric. Just tip an old wise woman taught me years ago

April,I had the same issue cutting a few days ago. A brand new blade had a tiny invisible nick, just enough to make cutting very frustrating, grrrrrrr! Put in another new blade and smooth cutting from that point on. Blades are not cheap, but always have several new ones on hand friends!

I love this layout more than the vertical one. It looks beautiful. Another rotatory cutting tip … if it’s not cutting well after you change it, check to make sure you only put one blade on and not two. Please don’t ask how I know that. 😅🤣

I know you may have some videos on Quilt as You Go but can you do a short series on the complete technique? I get confused at how to bind especially between each block. I know to do it on the front but I will be using one fabric on the back and I am not certain on that. Do I do the same technique on the connecting blocks as I did the front? I have not started yet. My fabric hasn’t come in. I plan on making myself a queen size quilt and making all my mistakes on it before I make any for my family. I do have a lot of seam rippers!!!
