Tie Dye Designs: 3 Ice Dyed Spirals With Different Dye Application [Dyed in the "Muck"]

In this video I tied 3 shirts in a spiral pattern, but I applied the same dye colors differently to each of the shirts. I show and explain the entire process that I used. I also list the dye colors that I used down below.

I really like the large and medium shirts! The x-large is still nice, but I like it less. I think I prefer to see more lines of the spiral. The large reminds me a bit of a nautilus, and I really like that :-)

Fabulous experiment, thank you! My fave is the XL-theres a lot of movement with the swirls.. imho!! edited to add a question: Do you always sprinkle a dark color dye under your t shirts, or just swirls?

Thank you! I like the way that one turned out too - I think it looks very interesting. I don't always add a darker color to the bottom. I do add a darker color to the bottom of other designs too though and not only just spirals.

Really can’t go wrong with blues in a spiral! Like the first best of all. I’d love to see how those other methods would look with more contrasting colors. 💙💙

I agree - I had fun with this one, and I'll have to try it again with a different color palette. I was making shirts for my son and a couple of teens to take to a Youth camp. The request was for blue spirals, and so I made 2 different spiral designs and let them choose. I made this set that was made using the same colors, but different dye application. Then I made another set that was made using the same colors and I applied the dye the same way on all 3 of them.
