Fungal acne... where do we begin! What a confusing topic for outsiders like myself, lots of skincare ingredients are just off the table. While I don't suffer with FA myself, I can totally relate to how frustrating it must be to find FA safe products, which is why I've done my homework! @@larvenachong3972 Please check out this blog if you'd like to create your own routine as per your needs or know everything there is about fungal acne: simpleskincarescience.com/. This guy has also posted a huge list of skincare products of all categories that you can choose from. You can use www.skincarisma.com/ too to check if the products are safe or not. My routine is fungal acne safe but I'd like to mention that this routine is targeted more towards my other skin problems. My fungal acne had already 90% cleared with the treatment by the time I started this routine, so I'm not saying this routine will clear your fungal acne. I just wanted to maintain a routine that was fungal acne safe while I dealt with my other acne problems, hyperpigmentation problems .... For treatment, I used an anti dandruff shampoo that has ketaconazole 2% and zinc pyrithione 1%. It is not necessary that you buy Nizoral, which is what most youtubers recommend. In case you cannot find it, ask for any medicated anti dandruff shampoo and check whether it has these ingredients or at least ketoconazole. There are other treatments like sulfur as well which I didn't need because this worked for me. And it also might be good if you could identify what aggravates your fungal acne. In my case, it was coconut oil, which I use once a week for my hair. The climate doesn't help me in any way either.

I have fungal acne prone face. Sometimes I see a product that is acne safe, but triggers my fungal acne. Sometimes I bought fungal acne safe prod, but gave me acne since I have sensitive skin. It’s very frustrating for me :(

hi i hope im not too late! I have 3 recos for you since we kinda have the same issue iUNIK Bubble Cleansing Foam, Heimish All Clean Green Foam, and Krave Beauty Oat So Simple Water Cream. They're nice and gentle products that is good for calming down your acne and is safe for fungal acne!

Omg same! But I have sensitivity towards several common ingredients which is found in the majority of skincare as well as K-beauty, and J-beauty products like: Niacinamide, vitamin C, green tea/mugwort etc. So annoying. I can barely use anything w/o breaking out into yeast infection from hell, or contact dermatitis. I also got Rosacea… and the products the other person recommended I can’t use either due to allergy/sensitivity😖😭😭😢

This is so informative. Even though I suffer from acne prone skin, I never really knew much about fungal acne. Some of these products I know and love and some of these have peeked my interest. One in particular is the Isntree mugwort essence and the I’m from water tree gel, the Rice Toner from them has to be my fave toner of all time besides the Soon Jung ph balance one😍. Fungal acne seems to have just emerged and people are really talking about it lately, which is good since it seems like it gets misdiagnosed a lot. Isntree mugwort has been really good, I've been liking adding it in as an anti-irritation product with the colder temps arriving. ❄

I had a damaged moisture barrier which led me to your channel. Not your fault but I got sucked into using 4-6 products in a routine to heal and I ended up getting contact dermatitis, decided to go caveman and not do anything which helped so much until 6 months later I started getting dry so I added back in some moisturizer to then realize my damaged moisture barrier lended a hand into me now being super sensitive to products that lead to yeast growth. Oh goodness, now I have to narrow my skincare down to fungal acne safe products. Super frustrating. Key note: don’t damage your moisture barrier!!

Awesome video Kelly! Love your recommendations. Found a couple things I'll definitely want to try 😊 As for moisturizer, yes that's a tricky one to crack down on. Even tho I have more oily skin, I found myself needing something a little occlusive and rich. I got the Krave Beauty Oat So Simple moisturizer and my skin LOVES IT!! It brought plumpness to my skin and absolutely helped level out my oil levels 😁

That Isntree - Micellar Washing Cleansing Water is something I could try in the future. ^^ I've been using the SAEM Healing Tea Garden Green Tea Cleansing Water as the first cleanse for a long time now. I'm from - Vitamin Tree Water Gel is on my wishlist too; I had some samples from it and I've been liking it. I've been using the By Wishtrend - Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule for a little while now and I'm really happy with it. I warmly recommend it at least to the ones with oily acne prone skin. :))

Hi Kelly! Youre video really helped me take a grasp of what's happening on my skin and what ingredients to look! A few days ago my skin was going crazy and itchy and in the middle of my face has a lot of white pop-able bumps. Using it as my toner, I'm from honey mask, cosrx snail mucin essence and I'm from mugworth essence, cosrx overnight honey sleeping mask..moisturiser I'm using cosrx snail mucin moisturizer or wishtrend vitamin 75 maximising cream...

for me I used to buy from the FaceShop all the time because it was the most available. But their products just didn't help my skin at all. I've since moved on and my skin is now much clearer. I've heard good stuff about the Belmeur line though. I used to use the rice line and tea tree line.

The iunik propolis synergy serum and the cosrx honey sleeping mask are fungal acne safe, i use them both and they help with the inflammation. Snail is also safe but it doesnt suit everyone, definitely patch test first!

larvena chong the ordinary AHA 30% BHA 2%, double cleanse first and then apply the chemical scrub,leave it 10minute on your face, wash with luke warm water. 2 times a week, I do it on wednesday and sunday. This works for me but I had great result after 2 times

I was looking at some of the other products from keep cool and the ingredients are great! Some of them have fragrance though. I'd like to try that brand. Also, is the by Wishtrend propolis similar to the Skin food royal honey propolis enrich essence?

The wishtrend serum has less propolis than the skinfood one (15% vs skinfood's 63%) I think the wishtrend is best suited for oily acne prone and the skinfood more combo to dry skin based on ingredients and texture.

I always want to incorporate double cleansing method in my night time skin care routine but all the time I end up with excessive oily skin with little red bumps on my skin..i have used dear klairs black seed cleansing oil and the face shop rice bright light one....but none of them helped me...should i use banila co. cleansing blam ...the original one?

You could use the im from mugwort essence! I have fungal acne, and it never seems to break me out, and it’s very nice and calming. They also have a mugwort mask that is also good! Whenever I have fa flare ups it calms down my itchiness and inflammation!:))

Generally no. Though you can try incorporating a proper anti-fungal treatment and then use the stratia/illiyoon 1-2 times a week and see how that goes.

Micellar water can still cleanse off sunscreen, it's actually what I usually use when I've only worn sunscreen and not makeup and it works great! (and not all sunscreen is oil based, you'll have to take a look at your sunscreen to determine that).
