@thomasminarchickjr.73556 жыл бұрын
chris edwards he should have. He should have looked after Eddie’s career more imho. I wish Eddie had more music to show, but George showcases amazing eccentrics that wouldn’t have fit in most bands. Eddie was a true genius. His arrest in 1974 derailed his career and he never fully recovered. He deserves more credit than anyone except George for the foundation of P-Funk. He was brilliant

modifiedcontent not nearly enough. Why the hell did George have so many players? Totally unnecessary and a waste of great talent in some cases. Not to mention, when people aren’t getting paid and you have 4 guitarists, 2 drummers, 2 bass players, etc....
@dewaynecoleman19894 жыл бұрын
You have to watch or maybe you did watch the Documentary about George and him being accused of not paying people. One of their last gigs they all had to catch cabs, buses, hitch rides to get there, and once the gig was over they each git paid $20.00.. That came straight from George's mouth.

What the frell happened to the mix during the second half of the track? The horns and keyboards are way too loud and the guitars are almost non existent in the mix! Actually, I think during the first part of the track, Michael Hampton is the only guitarist you can hear. Regardless, it's a cool track, always glad to hear more P-Funk. :)

@originalfunkyfry8 жыл бұрын
look, Eddie Hazel cut a solo album with George, I mean how much "focus" do you want on the guy? P-Funk is a musical collective. And Eddie Hazel's talent doesn't intimidate somebody like Bernie Worrell or Bootsy Collins; they loved him like a brother. Also, like a lot of members of such a big travelling band, Eddie Hazel had some struggles with substances. All things considered he was a musical force to the end. Listen to some of the records he made with Bill Laswell that are on the "Funkronomicon" album from 92

+originalfunkyfry p funk wasn't all about Eddie lucjily George got him a record deal and plus when you have thirty or more people in s group everybody not gonna get shine all the p funk players are underrated garry, Mike, Byrd, regardless of their contributions are all underrated Mike cut good solos on all the the late p funk hits he should have got more work in the 80s Bernie worrell done lots of work with all types of artists no recognition even George and bootsy the most well.known members don't get proper recognition
