Ps2 games are tedious af at times let's be real here. Damn near need a diary to keep up with nocturne and I looovveee 4. Just 5 is easily the best start for those who never played. If you do emulate 4 play as gunner it's so much damn fun

Not really people can have reasons to play and not play a game. Romance, gameplay or story are not it/aren't in the game. Like I like FE14 but I will not play it again because the maps are shit.

I think the romance thing is overblown, I don’t think most people really care. Plus the romance element is the more understated thing in Persona games. I only affects like 4 scenes at most lol. Dont get trigger by a vocal minority

Jamming romance in there just because is a dumb move, im glad they are creating something on the basis of what they think "fits". On the flip side if someone dismisses the game for not having it, i mean, there are more to games than that one feature you like, give it a chance. Because they do not experience videogames as a genuine art form but rather as a replacement for their own real life experiences, they want to recreate in videogames that which they cannot live in the real world, instead of appreciating th game for what it will become, they're complaining because they won't be able to psychologically project as with Persona, they use games exclusively as a way to vent their own personal failings and it's extremely petty

I know another game with time so limited you can't do everything, a strategy rpg for 3ds, stella glow, and it compensates by giving triple the time in new game+, while do want to know what carries over in metaphor cause most atlas games have that these days, I hope there is a way to see more on repeat playthroughs, like a ng+ exclusive key item that speeds up the base so you don't spend as much time traveling?

Never heard of the game but that sounds fascinating. I'm thinking the developers of Metaphor wanted to give players additional incentives to play through the game again by offering dungeons and locations that one cannot simply do all of them across one playthrough.

I'm not a Persona fan at all because pf the whole school thing, but I will be picking up Metaphor because it has a more darker tone. I just wish Atlas would stop being lazy and making all their JRPG'S a copy of Persona and actually make something brand new with NEW!..mechanic. 👀

Romance really makes 0 sense here, not only plot wise but game design wise. You would have to have every female character (or at least most) be written in a way so that she is romantically vialbe for the plot, leaving out more intresting character development

Exactly this. Because we can expect romancing in Persona 6, my hope is that these confidants/social links have SOME sort of acknowledgment in the story. I feel like all these social links in Persona are so isolated in some ways
