In the "Fur Master Series" legendary Jim Shouse shows how & gives tips on how to get top returns on your pelts. (Very educational) Former trapper, fur farmer & current FHA agent Jim Shouse has many years of experience in fur handling. This series will focus on land fur as there are already a lot of great vids on water fur, hopefully this will help some trapper's realize a better return on some of their pelts ... This first video shows proper marten (Sable) pelting techniques ..!!

Good job on the skinnin. I always use sawdust too for a greasy pelt, lost without it, and for those fleas I spray a bit of black flag in a fox feed bag and put the animal or animals in there for a few minutes. works. you can get the commercial powder too. I have pets and hate it when they scratch; makes me itchy just thinking of the little creeps.

Nicely done buddy. I wish I had someone to do my skinning. I hope to trap a marten someday.

Damn brother this series is going to help a lot. Love it when folks specialize or showcase their talents in videos. Then real learning is taking place. Awesome and already picked up a handful of helpful hints. Sawdust is great. Thumbs way up sir. Beautiful martins you caught.

I had heard that the Labrador marten were the best in NA and I really didnt see why until I seen your videos. Big and dark, very nice marten. We are lucky here in Ontario as we have some of the best beaver in NA. Just think, 5 times the work, 5 times the size for 1/4 of the price of a marten. Boy are we blessed....LOL Good luck with the rest of your season.

Thank's, that is the sawdust mixture that came out of the fur drum. Fine sawdust would do, helps get a good grip & soaks up a bit of grease. Suggest you watch the rest of the vid's in the fur master series, there you should get the answers your looking for. Thank's again ..!!

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30) Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. (Psalms 51:1-4)
