This is my video on the best in slot for fury prot warriors in phase 6. I go over A BiS list for threat and also mitigation. The key is finding a balance. Tailoring your sets for different fights is the key to top performance. Tailor your sets to your raid and your content and let me know how it goes!

So awesome!~ MY two favorite KZbin content creators for classic. I'm a tank so I naturally watch Djente but for all things warrior I need DamnBoi as well. I have just now finally got the correct gear to go Fury Prot. I didn't fall prey to the fad... but i needed to hit certain thresholds in my opinion to make the move over on top of the DPS in guild finally getting to a point that helps justify my jump over from deep Prot. thanks to both of you for helping the regular guy like me be more successful!

I've done similar theorycrafting over the last week and come to similar conclusions in many avenues. One recommendation I have is to develop a 4set T3 gearset for trash and 4hm where the Taunt hit is critical and mitigation is wise. For that set (depending on optimal pieces in other slots), I recommend a baseline of the threat-mitigation set posted in the video and add T3 boots and ring. If it is too difficult to get around the hit loss, keep your ring open and instead use T3 chest.

Do you or any other tanks since im asking in general, know if the 6 pc. T3 affect dodge and parry on the boss or if it is literally just hit, because that plus weapon skill would significantly increase threat on its own unless im mistaken, im just curious, me and the other tanks in my guild have looked but have not found any answers to this, and the only reason i dont immediately assume it only affects hit is due to classic having tool tips that arent always how they seem, either way ill be rocking full T3 come nax, but id love to hear if any other tanks have wondered about this same possibility

Playing as an off tank human fury prot warr. Just curious what would be BiS for weapons if TF is not an option. I am currently running Maladath and Blessed Qiraji war hammer. I was thinking of trying to get my hands on Anubisath Warhammer x The Castigator.... do you think that THC x Iblis, Gressil, or Widows remorse would be a better option?

if you're using the hammer in main hand then just about any other sword/mace woulld be better than maladath

Question about gearing againt saphiron and kel thusad. I heard main tank should rather build threat and mitigation instead of frost resist, is it still advised ? or should we prio frost resist pieces of naxx to the main tank ?

Regarding Sapphiron: Raid Dps will be low cause damage dealers will be wearing lots of FrR spread among many many shitty pieces, especially in the beginning before they get epic res gear, so you don't need high threat. The damage you will take as a tank is mostly physical. So for this encounter just go mitigation, yes a little bit a FrR can help, but not worth sacrificing physical mitigation for it.

if I have a weapon it is 6% (taking into account that with that weapon my ability is 305). If I have 2 weapons, one in each hand, do I have to have 12%?

If you're human, picking up Widow's Remorse (drops from Faerlina, an early boss) or using one of the AQ maces (Anubisath Warhammer/ Blessed Qiraji Warmace, only if you dont have THC) is a really good MH to start with for Naxx. Depending on if your rogues/DPS warrs are starved for weapons or not.

I have a similar issue, I am a gnome warrior with r14 swords...my plan was to run THC MH and then run the longsword (or any other sword for you cts or AQR in your OH). THC in MH allows you to spam Heroic strike like nobodies business and so amazing on threat. It also lets me drop my edgemasters entirely and not feel badly about it. Wondering if anyone else has an opinion on this

@@zandrasgarage3769 that's definitely a super solid choice, I think the only way it could be better is to run thunderfury mainhand with thc offhand. THC is amazing that it lets edgies users go hand free finally haha!

@@djente7220 100% agree, this is under the assumption they do no have TF. In my example i swapped to tanking later in classic so never got my TF. So for non human (and maybe for humans too) i run THC MH and then a slower sword OH. Being realistic you will probably get only one weapon from naxx so I would say if you are r14 can stay with r14 longsword OH or run CTS/AQR for your OH if you didnt get r14

how to remove 3 points in toughness and still advance in the prot tree? am I missing something?

You have to go 3/5 toughness and 2/5 bloodrage so you can reach the defiance tier of the tree. This will leave 2 points for imp heroic strike

You literally cannot take 3 points from toughness, only 2. You need 3 with the 2 points in imp bloodrage to get to the next row.

Spoiled classic players. Fury Prot in phase6 is for gods, but now humans and dogs are using them. Maybe that's why Chinese servers took 75% of raids that killed KT, where deep prot is still the meta.

DFT on phase 6 for tanks... DansGame. If you already have it, cool... but taking it away from a DPS in Phase 6 is horrible.
