I love Eversense! 1. No more skin issues from puncture wounds and adhesive. 2. One less thing to get at the pharmacy! 3. No more compression lows at night!! 4. I can remove it to shower and swim but I don't have to. 5. Alerts vibrate on my arm rather than beeping at me at inopportune times!!! I am on the 180 day version now, but I cannot wait to try 365 in a couple months! ❤️❤️❤️

I just got mine inserted last week and I truly love it! I was waiting for this and tried libre and couldn't stand it readings were so far off to my blood glucose especially when I got low this thing is already spot-on and only one day one event all year long where the others have one every week or two yuck and plus I can take mine off and on as many times as I want without costing me money and additional sensors cannot wait for the day they actually have everything embedded and nothing on the skin at all that will be game over :-)

I will go to it for sure and not sure why anybody wouldn't. I love hearing what thay want to do in the future and that super excites me. The thought of a sensor put in for any time frame, no attachment, talks to my pump.....OMG YES, YES, YES!!!!!

Why isn't EVERSENSE, an American company considering a move into Canada? I can see that this device which only needs to be inserted once a year would be great for patients or residents in long-term care facilities or in retirement homes since the staff time is limited so the staff doesn't want to fuss with a Guardian 4 cgms. For me, I want a cgms that connects with the pump to fine tune insulin delivery. That's essential. I was shocked when the one guy said that they only have 6,000 users! It must have cost millions to develop this product. Eversense needs more market penetration obviously, if it's going to pay off its investors.

the Eversense 365 is MRI and CT scan safe, but you do have to remove the external
@benjiv55448 күн бұрын
@pattyharris6445 @diabe_tech Yes. The sensor under the skin is safe for MRI and CT scan. Only the transmitter on the skin is to be removed (detachable easily) prior to the procedures. The Senseonics Team are working to fully eliminate the need for a transmitter in the future which will be a massive game changer. Further details can be found in their news releases on Senseonics website under news releases back in January 30, 2019 (US) and April 28, 2020 (EU).

I sampled the 180 day one (XL) in 2017-18, in England. Obvs the technology has moved on a lot since then. At that time the external transmitter was the weak point - I felt vulnerable if it was uncovered eg T-shirt days) in crowded areas, like it could be knocked off easily. Placing the transmitter each day could take several minutes as you had to find the sweet spot and the app gave slow feedback, so you had to move the transmitter very slowly to find that point. And in bright sunshine - we do occasionally see the sun in the UK! - there could be issues with light penetration affecting the system’s ability to work. I would be very interested in trying an updated 365 transmitter-free integrated version when it’s available.
@dinkster172916 күн бұрын
Interesting! If you kept the site covered with, say, a shirt or a t-shirt, would the light penetration be an issue?
@lesleyj200216 күн бұрын
@ It wasn’t an issue for me but it was for one of my fellow trialists who couldn’t get any readings while walking in the bright sunshine.

As a current user i can tell you for 8 years ive used the eversense system ive knocked off the transmitter like no more then 10 times, i do wish it had more of a apple like find my device system to locate it if that does happen but its really been a non issue. Also i believe they make patches you can cover it with if you feel like its not secure enough. Never had an issue with it in direct sunlight myself bc i love the beach but i can understand that concern. It has gotten better in all areas since you have last used it. The app included. The app did run slower when i had a previous phone so maybe that has something to do with it? (just guessing here)

Anyone here have the Eversense 365?
@BokiXI16 күн бұрын
I am still trying to see the advantage of Eversense vs. Dexcom or Libre sensors. It requires a transmitter, the readings are not significantly more exact AND it requires calibration. Also, how will the skin react to having a patch applied on the same area for a year?
@frosch10316 күн бұрын
Longer weartime tactile vibration alarm also without a phone nearby, exspecially useful for Sports(swimming, climbing,...) calibration is required only once a week the adhesive is much less aggresive than other cgm, because it´s designed to get changed every day. Also you can do skincar every day when charging your transmitter Transmitter is also removeable, which also means you can´t rip off your sensor
@macropod16 күн бұрын
Calibrations once a week, seeing all the dexcom applicators on a table for a year, eversense is a no brainer
