Great interview which was very interesting. I was again reminded that we need open diabetes systems so that people can use their favourite pump together with their favourite infusion set. Just like insulin pens now work with different brands of needles. We also need openness in pumps, cgms and algorithms so that we can can combine these freely. Same for tracking and reporting systems.

I wonder why Nina had overnight highs with the Omnipod 5 system. I’ve been on Omnipod 5 since it launched, and my overnight numbers are perfect (although I would love to set my target glucose lower, hint, hint, Omnipod!) It sounds as though her overnight basal was set incorrectly, but I’m glad she’s doing well on the Kaleido.

Interesting regards the overnight highs on Omnipod 5... that's probably been the best part of Omnipod 5 for me! Sure I've had some issues with Insulet's algorithm not being aggressive enough for my liking (on occasion) when in Auto Mode, but I'm at the stage now where I don't think I could move away from integrated patch pumps to infusion sets/tubing. I like the Low/Moderate/Intense Exercise setting mentioned. That's something I'd be interested in trying... 🤔

Ypsomed pump with the G6 is just getting Health Canada approval. Still have to wait for my province to approve it which is total bullshit. I hear we also might be getting the Ford Model T soon.

I like to match here too :) My freestyle libre 2 cover is orange, that matches my NovoRapid pen and I also have an orange stripe on the front of my handbag :)
