@@GrowlingSidewinder BTW after you shot that P-47 at 7:39, he managed to hit you a bit, then you're going basically straight while P-47 plants itself on your tail. To my ABSOLUTELY UNEDUCATED eye that situation looked rather avoidable. Or was it really? What exactly happened here? That P-47 looked to be hit pretty damn good so it's not like your aircraft was shot to pieces and his was doing fine (unless these hits around the engine did absolutely nothing).

I like the idea of attacking bombers. Infact I have already created one such sceario in which 2 large formations of B17's escorted by P47 come across the Channel at 25000 feet in two waves. I used Bf109's in my mission starting at 30000 feet. I have about 50 aircrafts in the air at one time. Lots of fun and tons of vapour trails. Keep up with the Warbird videos!!!!

@@Nate_935_Yeah, but considering the heavy armament of the FW190, the role as an interceptor and a fighter bomber, and the proportional size compared to the Bf109 it makes sense that people think the FW190 is a big plane

My understanding was that due to it’s weight, the P-47 would use slashing attacks and not turn with 109s or 190s. If they tried to dive away, the P-47 could easily chase them down. Roll rate is where the 190 excels so single circle fights down low would be a great option. As soon as Shotgun started reversing, I feel you had the edge. I agree with all the comments about the WW2 fights - great fun to watch. Thanks to Shotgun also! 👏🏻

In most terms the 190 A8 was out classed by mid and later variants of the P47. The A8 was mostly used for ground attack and bomber interception, it was seriously out classed by most front line fighters in 1944. Still capable yes but especailly above 16 000ft it couldn’t really hold a candle in terms of raw performance compared to allied fighters. A great work horse of an aircraft though able to be utilized in many different roles, easy to maintain and work on. Had a very good cockpit design and layout for its time too.
