Could I plug this directly to a DC 12v system?, so no need for brick. In my case am looking to make a Mini-ITX build for my off grid RV ( big batteries, solar system, etc ... ) So I can connect it and keep it DC - DC and not use and inverter to get AC. Cheers....

I’m here for the same reason actually... I doubt it would be an issue but that would be something you actually contact the manufacturer about. For what the guy said since they are custom made it depends on if they can deal with different voltages, like if my batteries are completely charged to the top I’ll even see 14v at times. Since they’re custom made I would assume you might even be able to talk with whoever about getting a custom connection cable to use for the 12v but probably your going to have to find the specific connection or canabalize the brick you get sent and wire it to your 12v system yourself... How are you getting Wifi? It’s something that I’ve been struggling with lately on how to actually have internet to use my computer...
@blauwzakjecrack5 жыл бұрын
@@SylkieDev i was thinking to use dc regulators to individually voltage the atx mobo connectors. Of that works using a battery for 12v and a buck converter for the 5v should do the trick, no brick, no pico psu, maybe a burning pc. we`ll see.
@SylkieDev5 жыл бұрын
ronald broersma hey, that sounds like a really cool idea! It sounds a little beyond my electrical skills though.... for the hell of it I was looking into what it would take to rewire a small tv I have... it overwhelmed me a bit to be honest, messing with the different volts and circuitry to that degree though... Let me know what happens! I’m just a poor kid so none of the 12v psu are really in my price range.
@blauwzakjecrack5 жыл бұрын
@@SylkieDev will do,incase i will do it ;) I would advise you to just use an dc-ac inverter,and plug your regular ac psu in the inverter.For now its the most realistic reliable and easy solution. Im running my game pc fom 12vleadacid battery with an 500 watt inverter. And it works just fine. There is some powerloss in the coversion from dc-to-ac-to-dc but that power is lost to heat, so if your running a heater or you feel cold, in the grand scheme of things no power loss ;)

What is the problem with a single guy production if the product is good? Your ignorance is outrageous. Single man company products are in general (not always) better products than big corporations. This is the reason they are most expensive. Mostly of big brand name don't make PSUs. In general they are outsourcing to real manufactures like Seasonic and others. And QC of these companies leave a lot to be desired. Maybe you have to make more research and talk less bullshit.
