G36C - Assault Rifles - Modern Warfare 3 Review - #37

Sadly, this will be the last MW3 review for a while. I'm entirely open to coming back, but I think the right thing to do now is focus on the Nightmares of COD until BO2 gets here.
Thank you for another fun year. I learned a lot. I wasn't as consistent with MW3 as I was with black ops and it shows. I didn't complete as much of this game as I would've liked. I plan to come back with a stronger resolve for Black Ops II.
NOC until BO2 gets here, and then BO2 is my focus. Cheers folks! Here's to another year!

I'm one of the few who like the G36c's iron sights. Just throw on a silencer and it's very easy for me to use. You may not have gotten to the MP7, but I hope it shows up in a "Nightmares of CoD: Overused SMGs" episode.

that's the add to gun time if you sprint cancel it. If not you get over 2 seconds of reload animation or 3 if the magazine is empty.

@@Nebulasecura Even the reload animation itself for the G36C isn’t that long though, although the empty reload animation is slow. Outside of when the gun is empty, the gun doesn’t reload that slowly no matter how you dice it.

MW3 must be tough game to do a whole review series for. I understand if you want to cut out early, I've actually come to enjoy the nightmares of COD series more than your reviews. Can't wait for your BO2 content though!

Once I get Sitrep Pro unlocked, hardcore is my favorite mode to play in. No BS with shooting someone four times and then they turn around and kill you instantly. Nearly every gun that sucked in core is suddenly useful due to lower player health. And a lot of players don't seem to know what to do without a radar, so if you can do without you've got a big edge. I frequently get 3/1 KD ratios in HC, while I struggle to do that well in Core.

it was basically a hypebeast weapon. everybody cried OP and people flocked to it. once they realized they needed to aim it a little bit more than the other full automatic guns they gave it up for the ACR, SCAR, M4 ect.

Funfact: the Grenade Launcher M320 was designed for use on the G36 from the same by H&K, it naturally fits and gives a cool feeling, atleast to me... but still, the launcher is quite laughable.

I recommend Kick for the G36C. Yes the recoil is very predictable but I find the lowered recoil significantly increase the G36C's effective range.

I use Steady Aim because this gun has one of the best raise times out of all of the weapons in MW3.

I've had some good times with that gun. Loads of head shots because of the recoil. Give me the red dot. I like kick - it does make a difference. Scavenger because it burns through ammo. Assassin is just too good. And, Stalker for stalking!

Given the MMS only picks up non-moving enemies, I don't see a big problem. Also, recoil is increased with it attached, so its not the god-like attachment everyone makes it out to be. I have no doubt that it'll be good, I just don't see it being gamebreaking.

amish, you forgot to mention that the G36C is one of the only guns in the game where the heartbeat sensor is still visible while aiming down sight, it makes it more useful than the other guns.

May I suggest too you all, if you want machine pistols, and you aren't using SOH, the akimbo G18's are a thing of beauty. The G36 drops so fast that it's like swapping to a pistol. :)

I'm surprised you didn't mention it's one of the best guns to use with Overkill considering it's high switch speeds. Also, while the grenade launcher and masterkey are crap in core, they're much much more useful in hardcore. That's where you really want to try them out.

in my opinion, the g36c is the best overkill gun, with extended mags and silencer and a bolt action sniper (same speed and big 1sk area, any other sniper is slow & the drag hard to 1shot) Sofhand isnt needed if using pistols or the g18. the g18 should raise in the same time the p99 and five seven do, the g36c fast drop makes pistol secondaries kinda moot as its essentially the same with other non pistol secondaries in terms of dropping making picking a good raise time the deciding factor for me.

I mean, in the old days, the music in your old reviews added a lot of character to your reviews, making them unique. Kidding geez, but you have to wonder which gun can/will be OP. Could the insane 1200rpm two burst on the AN-94 be as OP as it was in Battlefield Bad Company? Or will the Type 25 select fire be the Pre-patch Type 95 WITH full auto? Who knows? I just like to talk.

Not sure why, but with the G36C its the only AR I use that i cannot use a machine pistol with. ACR, CM901, M4A1. All of them have MP for secondary and i can kill pretty much everyone with it. G36C nope couldn't do it if i sold my soul to Bill Murray.

It completely dominates the MP5, UMP, and P90 except for reloads and range, which are both so slight you will barely notice, and the P90 has 10 extra bullets. Also, what does the MP7 do poorly? It kills fast up close, and is accurate so you do well at medium to long range. Sorry, but it's OP and the only OP gun in MW3.

Argue with me if you like but the G36C with Acog and Thermal is inferior to the Scar-L's and M4A1's because the recoil is very high, even with its Kick Proficiency. The G36C may be powerful assault rifle but the kick is so high you would be better off aiming at the enemy's feet. The G36C is not a bad rifle but some attachments do not work well with the G36C, let alone the ACR has the same damage as the G36C with no kick.
