They should have just mucked up the irons and slowed the reloads. The MP7 needed long range damage dropped to 17 and then MW3 would have been pretty balanced.

I like the flexibility of this weapon. Something that is really fascinating is that this gun IRL was designed to be flexible for different scenarios. In a show I saw talking about this weapon, they said that a simple modification (a minute or two at the most) and you can be using the enemies' ammunition! I really like this gun, and personally hope that it will continue to be seen. Lastly, I think you could put the place in the prestige as a con.

@TheFaisalano Actually, on machine guns, it does. I forget the exact explanation, but light machine guns have a different kind of kick in this game, which the thermal scopes don't take into account. I've killed snipers on Bakarra and Mission with it easily.

+geupard smith That would drop it to a 3-4 hit kill, whereas all other Assault Rifles either had three to four hit kills by default, two to three hit kills with Stopping Power, One headshot kill potential if using Stopping Power on the FAL, and higher rates of fire (M4A1, F2000).

I burst out laughing when the very first line was "FIRE THE LAZOR" since that's exactly what I have on the mind for this gun. However, I do think it's balanced. The low fire rate keeps it in check, and there are lots of times when I lose to faster firing weapons up close.

In my opinion the best thing to do to balance ACR is to give it more idle sway than other assault rifles. That would limit it's long range advantage to the level of other ARs. Thay did the same thing back in COD4 with M4A1, it had good fire rate, decent damage and low recoil so it was given more idle sway than other rifles to balance the thing

It's like a median between ACR and M4. Faster rate of fire, but more recoil. Yet not TOO fast rate of fire, and can still he used at longer ranges.

ACR 6.8 extended mags and silencer w/ sleight of hand pro, either hard-line, quickdraw, or assassin pro, and marksman. secondary either stinger or mp9 silenced. use what ever tactical or lethal equipment you want. For your strike package, use either low assault killstreaks, or support.

LOL I love how you just stared at the hanging body at 5:49 Anyway, personally I can't use the ACR, Maybe I just got used to the higher rate of fire weapons. (My Fav AR: FAD, My Fav SMG:P90) But I do think the gun is VERY overused and kinda overpowered, this is one of the most common weapons in the game along with the MP7 (Which I think needs a nerf) and the FMG9 akimbo(AAAAHHHHHHH GET IT AWAY!).

Its not just about being hidden but also going at a fast pace so enemies can't reach or react as fast as you, but theres also campers in corners just waiting until you show up.

From MW2 they: Buffed the damage, shortened the reload, kept the low recoil, gave it better irons(some may disagree), kept it's range (Bad considering the size of the maps), only raised it's unlock level by 2(realistically lowered by 8 since 10 lvs have been added), More attachments, op perks, overused a lot more, added SP by default, specialist strike package. More op than the type 95 imo.

like a guy said once commenting another ACR moab -> "This was a balanced, nice-to-have gun in MW2, it is now an overpowered monster in MW3" my opinion on the 6.8 version: good for beginners, good for training, and never hesitate to pick up one if you're running out of ammo. Weapons like Scar or CM-901 just give you more challenge and more "merit" (still some people do not give a damn)

The acr was probably the most overpowered assault rifle never to be patched. It should have been patched to have less damage for starters, cos I just got sick of how many times noobs won up close against players who used smgs ( no sympathy for those who used mp7, also overpowered)

I use the acr 2 attachment with silencer and extended mags. silencer for stealth, extended mags for more ammo to kill.

for perks with the ACR, I would rather choose extreme conditioning, quickdraw and stalker. Pro or not pro these perks will greatly improve your maneuvering skills, especially stalker. I've seen how it looks to aim and walk without stalker on the ACR and it seems as if the person is tripping on rocks. Quickdraw for aiming down sights fast and extreme conditioning to get to the location you want to be at, faster.

@TheFaisalano The MK46 with thermal is a laser too, so is the L86, but they both have more ammo. Stalker/Quickdraw/Sleight of Hand fixes any speed issues, and the semi-automatic nature of the MK14 is the only thing keeping it from being OP though it's still an amazing gun. Half the guys I've seen using the ACR use a sight anyway, so apparently they disagree about the irons.

30 damage over range is better than the CM901 and AK 47, meaning that peoples screan will kick more than with the supposed high damage assult riffle. The ACR needs to be dropt to 25 or 20 damage over range.

In my opinion the acr will be outclassed by the scar if damage at range is reduced to 20 the scar being the second lowest recoil and a faster fire rate will end up making the acr obsolete

It's not easy to get, because how fast you get Sitrep Pro has a lot to do with luck. If your enemy isn't using equipment, you can't work on Sitrep Pro. Sometimes you can go several matches and not see any equipment. Even if equipment is around, you still have to get close enough to the equipment to destroy it. With these things in mind, I only destroy 0-2 pieces of equipment most matches. Sometimes I get lucky with a motion-sensor happy camper, but not often.

I'm pretty sure the SCAR have better recoil profile. The ACR jump a lot to left-to-right and right-to-left, the SCAR doesn't do that. The down kick is minimal and up kick is just slightly higher than the ACR.

I have to agree with Amish on this one. The ACR 6.8 has tons of strong points and very few real downsides (the only one that I can think of is the slower firerate). Yes, a 6.8mm round is indeed more powerful than the 5.56mm standard. But this gun is still borderline OP, although, it is possibly more overused than it is overpowered.
