Nice for the head gasket for limp mode and you don’t have to remove the intake manifold you can fit ur hand in the back for a new coupling
@bradenwhite43562 жыл бұрын
Just happened to me today and it was 100 degrees outside. Started smoking and overheating instantly and I had it towed to my house. The original coupler broke clean in half and I just replaced it with an oem one (mistake) and you DO NOT have to take the manifold off, just the engine cover. It is an absolute pain of a reach to get the old coupler out though.

My mechanic recommended a metal bleeder since he was already going to be back there. Hope the new one doesn't break again but it would be a while before that happened anyways

@@BalancePointMedia This happened two days ago to my daughters 2011 g37. I went there and tried to drive the car but it would only hop. It was some type of extreme limp mode not the normal 35mph or so deal. I called 2 dealers and they said there is no limp mode like that. Anyway the car was towed and is great now.

Same thing happened to my 2010 sedan. Went to the dealer, bought the part and replaced it without pulling anything off. Nobody told me I couldn't do that so I was able to do it. Glad I didn't watch this video first. The only problem I had was the clamps but I bought the hose clamp tool that reaches way down and it worked. I still don't know how I managed to do it but it worked so...
@BalancePointMedia Жыл бұрын
You were able to get to it without pulling the intake manifold?
@Forseenlife Жыл бұрын
@Balance Point Media Yeah, I did. Barely, but I got it. Used the flexible wire long reach hose clamp tool and it worked.

Hah, before I even watched this, I knew what it would be. ;) Very common, should be first thing any G owner does.

Happened to my 2004 G35 Sedan. Smoke from hood. Opened the hood up and the coolant burst. The temp gauge was at max lol. Barely limped it back to my auto guy. He charged me $700 to replace the radiator, but overheated again! Took it back and he said there was "air blockage" or something. Now it's working fine.

При всем уважении, но этот переходник меняется за 20 минут без разбора чего либо. Просто крышка снимается и все. И ставится металический соеденитель.
