I own 2 of these and have also been impressed with them. The lower R9 is not ideal… but overall a great rgb fresnel. Agree with all you’ve said.

Thanks for the review Andrew. I think the quality of beam and sharpness of shadows make this light quite unique in the world of RGBW. I am very impressed that the COB chip is that small! Would love to see more LED makers, use this sort of miniaturised COB… seems to really improve optics

Hi Andrew, I have a tip for you! Avenger makes a "Yoke to Stand Adapter", (that describes any baby receiver!); and you can buy one for about $15 USD on B&H. Just unscrew the Fiilex Q5 Color receiver, and bolt on the Avenger replacement receiver. Problem Solved! Talk to you Later, Mathew

Hi, I need help, can you show as how to use the vmount battery with my old fiilex P360ex, now each battery just give me 1hr, there is any adapter that I can use that will give me more time par battery charge? Thank you 🙏

It sounds to me like your batteries have gotten old. Assuming you can't justify getting new batteries, you could team two batteries together with a "shark fin" or "hot swap" adaptor. Just make sure it a parallel connection (as in NOT doubling the voltage)

Looks like they are using two different wavelength Blue emitters(guessing 430 nm and 460 nm). If they had added an extra green emitter at around 500 nm and a broader response red , the spectrum would be nearly perfect. The red and blue spikes occur when CCT level is changed and you have to add more blue(higher) or more red(less Kelvin). Since - usually - there is only one red or blue emitter - changing the CCT will cause a spike at that wavelength. This will lower SSI scores since the spectrum will vary greatly from a Blackbody/Daylight spectrum. It also accounts for the Q5's high SSI score at Daylight(two blue emitters)

Hello, great review ! On the fence of getting one, but wondering if 6:14 dmx issue has been fixed ? And how is the “tungsten” rendering comparing to let’s say Aputure 300x ? RGB is nice to have but I use tungsten 70% of the time. Thank you!

Sort for the delay, going through hundreds of questions today. I wear a brand of shoes called blacksmith. They have steel cap (toe) shoes that are very comfortable and not heavy.

Hello. Great review. Between these Fiilex products and something like the Aputure 600 (the new 600x or one of the bi-color options), do you have prefer one over another? I know it's not exactly apples to apples, but they seem to be the options for me that most suit my needs. Thank you.

I think the best way to answer this is for me it's relative fire power not cost. I was going to get 4 Aputure 60x, but got these instead. I'm very interested in the 600x (with F10s) but I might switch those out for Fiilex Q10s when they arrive.

Does anyone know if this unit has settings for DMX loss behavior? I bought a couple of these units and they seem to default to blackout at signal loss. Would love for them to be able to hold last command

Ok, all mine hold last command, at least for the 10 minutes I've been testing them now. They even hold the last command if the power is turned off and on. But like you, I can't find any options in the menu. I had a light from another brand that wasn't holding the last DMX command when it should have been, it was a faulty memory chip. That's all I can think it can be.

@@gaffergear I have 2. I noticed when I turn off my transmitter, they maintain the Las command, but when I turn the transmitter back on, whether the command was the same or not both units turn off for about 1 or 2 seconds before following the new command.
