So I got out of prison almost 4 months ago. And I'm on parole gps monitor so I can't leave the house unless I schedule it. I just wanted to say thank you. You may not know that you guys have helped me stay sane. Just listening to you 3. I've continued to work out even if it's just burpees.

Body weight can go a long way brother! Do some dips with weight on chairs and pull ups with a backpack full of books or bags full of water (I'm sure you did this in lock up) and stay occupied man! These guys saved my life even tho they don't know it. I was in and out of jail frequently and switched up my lifestyle to focus on being jacked and healthy and I haven't gotten in trouble with the law since. Occupy your mind 💪🏼🧠

At 55 I realized that strength was the only way forward as I age. I’ve lost 10lbs of fluff in the last 12 weeks and have been practicing compound movements with light weights just to get used to the movement. I’ve fallen in love with the process and have been going through many old episodes of Mind Pump. The only problem is trying to explain to my non-athletic husband why I’m listening to 3 guys hour after hour. 😂 Truly appreciate what you all do! Thank you!

Bought anabolic and is a game changer. I’m a full-time firefighter and time is very important to me and the three day a week workouts I’ve been amazing. I am stronger and feel better than I ever have before. So thank you guys so much for your programs and all the info. Keep up the good work.

Love this podcast so much! When I competed I was only around other competitors and dated a bodybuilder. The conversations were about the gym, our bodies, diets and doing shows. It left me feeling like my brain was deteriorating 😆 Your podcast never makes me feel that way. I love every show I’ve watched and how much I’ve learned from them. Mind pump for sure!!

Great show! I'm 35 l and just had a son in February. I assumed the role of stay at home dad to be able to minimize on child care. All summer I've been watching episodes and have adopted some of the systems out workout routines that have been suggested. I only take creatine, protein powder, and a multi vitamin. In August I did a full month of 5x5 training here at my mini home gym. Great advice! Up until then, I've only really did the basic 3x10 sets or 3x12 training style. This month of September I've reverted back to this training I've felt stronger than ever. Watching and listening to this episode makes me feel like I need to go back to the power lifting style of training for the month of October and go back and forth to keep the body guessing and hopefully start seeing results. This is honestly the most solid advice as a person who doesn't go to the gym or have the funds to pay for personal training.

Morning mind pump brothers! I stole a can of coke when I was 8 to impress my friends. I got home the next day and one of my friends Mum was sitting with my Mum and had told her what happened. I was marched back to the shop to confess. The Turkish owner wanted to give me a whole crate for confessing. My Mum was so embarrassed. The walk home my mum told me to choose a stick to be beat with which was awful. This was the 80's and my Mum has more than made amends for her punishment back then, and we have a beautiful relationship these days. Did I steal again? Yes! Peer pressure is a bitch. This is a true story! I did not steal it from a Richard Pryor stand up. The 80's were brutal times in East London. Especially being brought up by proud Irish/Spanish parents. I love listening to you lads. Have a blessed day 💪🏼🙏🏼👊🏼

I've been a martial artist for over 5 years and I've been lacking in the muscle mass department. Muscles won't win a fight but it can't hurt to have them especially if you train the skills as you build that physical strength. When yall mentioned Powerbuilder and Bodybuilder mentality it reminded me that I adapt my martial arts discipline into weightlifting. It's fun to be a caveman and lift heavy weights but I want my strength to serve my fighting capabilites and I thrive on the fact I can spar and increase my striking abilities. Listening to you guys helped me out tremendously as I've used your advice for martial arts from mind to muscle connection to allocating and practicing exercises to feel the muscles engage for striking. Yall are are awesome and thank you.

I am fortunate enough to have both body building and Olympic lifting experience and still do both. 3 full body lifting days and 1 day CrossFit (mostly for fun) on Saturdays doing a partner wod I like throwing around heavy stuff sometimes 💪🏼 I am able to do the mental switch between the two and I really enjoy doing both but I think body building is my favorite these days.

Hi Justin, Sal and Adam, As a 53 year old man I really appreciate your clear, nuanced and scientifically verified health and fitness information. My question stems around building muscle, reducing my love handles and overall fitness for longevity. I only own a suspension trainer. Should I build muscle first before focusing on losing belly fat? I'm aware of MAPS anabolic, however is it still ideal, safe or detrimental for me to include 10mins cardiovascular at the end of a strength session, if my main focus is to build muscle using a suspension trainer. I'm perplexed to whether I discontinue cardiovascular for a period of time. Thank you for your time. Regards Cole Heketoa Altona Meadows, Melbourne - Australia 🇦🇺 💪

Walmart purchased my bank I’ve been using called One Finance. They actually took away a bunch of great things about the bank including: pockets with their own virtual card numbers, a physical card that can be swapped to any pocket for better budgeting, 3% APY on up to 10% of paycheck, ability to share pockets with other members. I’m thinking of switching banks again. I don’t shop at Walmart and I can’t justify the rewards we get back from shopping there

Hey guys! Loved this episode, newer listener here (about 3 months). Curious on your thoughts on this. I’ve been eating about 2100-2200 cals for 2-3 months. I feel like my metabolism has increased thanks to what I’ve been learning . Training 5x5 in compound lifts and 3x10 in accessories. I’m gaining muscle as my weights keep going up in lifts but my scale keeps going down. Am I really building muscle while “cutting”?
