I also had chronic acne growing up and even into my 20s. Im 29 now having done strict carnivore for 1.5 years and now animal based with lots of honey for over 6 months. My skin is now unrecognisably better. Thank you Paul and others in this space for their guidance.

I’m 29 and still dealing with acne. I’ve had it since about 15. On my face and back, varies in severity but is always there. I’ve done antibiotics, accutane, topical treatments, everything. It’s still there. The only thing I haven’t done at this point is carnivore or some other restrictive eating.

@@VaughnCheezyIt's time to. Diet is essential when it comes to acne. Biotin, zinc, iron, riboflavin, omega 3. Those are necessaries for a healthy skin. You definitely don't get them if u base your diet on ultraprocessed food. Also, the inflammatory effect you get from shitty dairy, processed flours and processed sugars will keep your acne in your whole body

@@rafaelbohorquez8135 you’re right, and those are great points. By no means do I eat fast food regularly, but I do eat refined sugars, processed flour and pasteurized dairy products very regularly. I’ve got to make a change.

I’d recommend anyone who’s having digestive issues to start out with a carnivore diet first then after some time try fruit but 1 at a time find which ones you can tolerate and digest easy if you notice digestive troubles with carbs time them post workout and space it out from the protein / fat

The increasing acne from weight gainers is interesting... as they are almost always loaded with seed oils. Brad Marshall has research on this in that poor converters of Linoleic Acid are protected against obesity, but at the expense of increased inflammation. Acne is a form of skin inflammation. I was not carefully eating restaurant food during a vacation (seed oils) and towards the end, I couldn't eat anything because my stomach was so inflamed. I also didn't gain any weight. Efficient converters of Linoleic to downstream molecules are more prone to obesity though.

Yeah, but how do you increase carbs with only fruit and honey on a muscle building/athletes diet? You obviously need more carbs in order to build more muscle since muscles are primarily glycogen and water(the rest being protein and fat cells)Correct me if I’m wrong, but our sugars would go through the roof eating only honey and fruit and even the most in shape person would eventually suffer pancreas and kidney issues.

For those that aren't big eaters, that could be true, but some of us can put down a LOT of food. For those struggling to gain weight, it would be important to prioritize fattier cuts of meat, and eat calorie dense fruits as well. White rice could also be a good source of extra calories for hard-gainers, if needed. And of course, getting enough protein is the first priority.
