Thanks 🙏 for sharing. I’ve never made sweet rice. Love to try it. Saffron will do well too for colour🙏Just my opinion. Love from EL❤️
@GaithreeDeviLuckan3 жыл бұрын
Yes the yellow colour was an unintended consequence of using margarine. If you use less margarine or use butter as a substitute the sweet rice will be more white…and then saffron could definitely be used as a colourant and flavour as well

@@zeenathswaleh6166 I think the difference from kheer to sweet rice is that here, the rice is not blended to make a more liquid texture ?......but on a general note, between Hindus , South Indians in SA call it sweet rice while north Indians call it kheer

I use it just as a thickening agent - you really don't pick them up in the final product

Hi ,very nyce for did weather, y don't u use pure butter instead, I c u luv margarine, but no problem jus wondering, lots of luv, I enjoy ur style of cooking ,thanks ,god bless, stay safe
@GaithreeDeviLuckan3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use butter as well. We use a lot or margarine, you are right. I think just out of habit mostly.
@forevertheaii3 жыл бұрын
Margarine is more affordable and most households use it instead of butter. I love that she uses margarine most of the time, it allows those of us who don't use butter to follow her recipes without making substitutions or making something that doesn't turn out how it's supposed to.
@shanalawrence43813 жыл бұрын
@@forevertheaii I agree 🙂
@GaithreeDeviLuckan3 жыл бұрын
This is also true. Although we do try to stock up on butter if it’s on special. But normal price is about 2x that of margarine.
@shikshZN3 жыл бұрын
I always prefer magarine for the salt taste.....even when braising kichdi.....magarine takes everything to the next level 😜
