I also have a 13" Galil Ace gen2 in 5.45, and it is a very well built firearm. I immediately installed a kns adjustable gas piston to run it suppressed, and boy does that make it really smooth, soft recoiling, and quiet for a supersonic rifle caliber. Highly recommend that upgrade if using a suppressor. I also have an original meprolight RDS sight that yours is an update of. It's been an awesome, durable red dot. Great battery life with lithium AA, super clear glass with no tint, very sharp dot under magnification to my mediocre eyes. It's a bit heavy and bulky though.

@@777gi0 I've never heard of subsonic 5.45 available as a loaded cartridge in the USA. I was only speaking to supersonic 5.45 sounding better than my PWS shooting supersonic 5.56 ammo.

Nice rifles. I have a friend that used the original Galil in the South African Defense Force. I think it was called the R5. He loved it.

I have a Gen 2 in 7.62 NATO, also fitted with a Meprolight RDS Pro V2 optic, with the green reticle. I might need to snag the magnifier at some point. I love my Galil!!!

I heard you say you wanted a gen 1 Galil. Right now Dissident arms has them in stock and they let you do layaway if you can't pay it all at once. Their an awesome gun and I already got one so I don't mind let people know now. I'd hurry though. They sell quick. I know Armslist has some gen1's as well for a fair price.

Is the holo sight to tall for the brace being lower than the rail ? Bc I wana get a sight for mine but I've notice with magpull iron sights I use my chin instead of my cheek due to the height

How much is the mepro you have on the galil? I have one of the new gen 1 13" rock and lock Galil's in 556 and I'm trying to figure out what optic to put on it. That just might be the one for me. I think mepro's have always been Israel's choice on their firearms

I have a galil ace gen 2 in 556 but I don't have a full set up yet it's going to take me some time for it but when I finish it going to be my personal home defense gun that fit for me

@@EasyBTactical first I'm going to put a $200 taxe stamp to turn into a SBR . second I'm going to try and buy a ak style binary trigger on it ,and then last I'm going to buy that 120 round drum It sound like it's to much but i feel like I want to be safe then srry
