Trying to narrow it down to this, an apc308 pro, or the tavor 7. I already have a tavor x95 and like it, but I'm not sure I want another almost identical rifle. The apc 308 pro is expensive as hell and I don't know if its any better. The galil seems like a good option.

Well, so far mine has functioned flawlessly. That said, it is pretty heavy with an optic and fully loaded 25-round magazine (fully kitted it weights ~11.5lbs). I don't have any familiarity with the others, so I don't know how they compare, but I imagine their ergos would be a bit better than the Galil's.

Also, I think it’s very practical for a battle rifle. Maybe ar’s make me want to vomit. They’re so played out. And good ar 10’s aren’t cheap.

Nice do you think this gun will be good for hunting?
@reformedgga1510 Жыл бұрын
That is going to depend on many things. There are a lot of people I know who would not use this rifle to hunt. They would point out the following issues: (1) The Galil is heavier than a conventional hunting rifle. (2) The Galil will have less muzzle energy than a conventional hunting rifle (due to the short 16" barrel). (3) The Galil is not as accurate as a conventional hunting rifle. (4) The Galil is a bit more awkward to sling than a conventional hunting rifle. These are all valid points, but, if you are OK with these issues, then I don't see why the Galil couldn't be used as a hunting rifle. 🤔

Is the gas block adjustable for suppressor use?
@reformedgga1510 Жыл бұрын
No. Galils, as they come from the factory, are not adjustable and are not meant for use with a suppressor. That being said, I believe that KNS does sell some aftermarket adjustable gas pistons for Galils that will make suppressor use possible. Another option is the Zastava M77--it has an adjustable gas block from the factory and may work with flow-through suppressors without any aftermarket modifications.
