Love my 5.45 rifle.... my lgs had the pistol as well and i was upset that i couldnt get both but now that the gen 2 is coming out i will finally be able to get a pistol version

IWI is pulling a CZ with the ACE Gen 2S, similar to what CZ did when they made the BREN 2MS. Getting rid of military features and replacing them with American civilian market commodities. Very happy I have my Gen 1 ACEs.

I just fell in love with a Gen 1 Ace pistol this weekend. Just Iron sights performed better than a CZ Bren 2 did with HK style sights for 300-400 more

No. I have the Gen 1 762Nato Rifle and the 556 pistol. You can add accessories to your liking. Trust me, the rs regulate handguard is better than the midwest

I think it's a big mistake to discontinue the gen 1. People want the closest version to the military model they can get.

Feel like they should drop the 556 version altogether. They don't seem to sell well in the land of the AR. Although, weirdly if I could get one that used old school galil mags that rock and lock, I'd buy one of those.

I was able to “preorder” a 13in 5.45 Gen 1 yesterday. Should be here is 4-6 weeks. Got it from dissident arms. Pretty surprised to see it since I thought there were only 8in and 16in Gen 1’s

Hi, Misha. I've the Galil ACE 7.62 NATO rifle, 5.56 NATO rifle & pistol. I would've bought the 7.62X39 rifle & pistol if I could ever find one in stock. I'd even buy the 7.62 NATO pistol. I'm looking forward to the Gen 2 version of the ACE as well. Cheers!

I've had and shot all of them at one time or other, except for the 7.62 NATO Pistol. Of those, this one is my favorite: 5.56 Pistol. Second fav. was the 7.62 NATO rifle. Was honestly underwelmed by the X39 offerings.

Enjoyed the video. Not a fan of the dust cover mounted rail as I don't think it will remain solid after abuse, while I hate that it cannot be fitted with a base for a side mounted optic. Would prefer a Vektor LM5 made of lighter material (titanium/aluminium).

I still love the gen 1's. I like the nice sights and front sight post, I love the RS regulate handguards so buying one of those to replace the polymer isn't such a big deal. I don't dig the new gen 2 x39 lowers so much, I think they could have made it a little better looking, I also think they should have kept the nice sights.

Yeah, have had my gen 1 5.56 pistol for about a month, still haven't put optics on it yet. The tritium irons are phenomenal...although I haven't taken it past 25 yards yet.

I like the Ace trigger and left side cocking handle. I like the original's handguard more though. I do like the BHO on the Ace for sure and taking AR mags is legistically a positive.

i added the kns piston to my 7.62x39 pistol and it makes a huge difference. carbine isn't bad IMO but i mat add it on that also. the 556 is my truck gun. all stock.

Not sure how I could do that. Most software is based around the mouse, not keyboard. And most things are graphically illistrated and not via text. So there's very little I am capable of doing.

I like the pistol in 7.62x39 and I like the rifle in x51. For the pistol, I wish I could find another factory forend. I like it, but the bottom lip catches my knuckle during mag changes. I'd like to grind it off, but not until I can find another somewhere.

If you're going to run a shorty AK with a suppressor, what would be the optimal length for a do-all gun?

I'm afraid I am pretty ignorant of rifle suppressors. I suggest asking Chris at SAS or Tim at MAC. Both of those guys run a lot of different guns suppressed, so they have more experience than I do.

In a standard AK pattern, a 12" barrel is ideal for that, and in the Ace gen 2, the 13" barrel they are supposed to release. Any shorter and you lose to much velocity for do all gun, and any longer and a suppressor gets heavy fast.

I 'think' the HG should drop on or can be modded to fit but not sure yet. Actually recorded the beginning of this video before the Gen2s were even out. I'm happy to give one a shot soon though, but at the same time, not selling my Gen1 in this video.

Not saying don't do it, but make sure you test fire that Draco 5.56 first. Some came in great, others seemed to have some odd issues. Also make sure to get a few OEM Cugir steel mags with it. Converted bakelites just don't cut it.

@@realfnneato3111 Nah, just make sure it runs fine. When Cugir started making its own .223 mags, it closely copied the basic Wieger template. So the two designs are closely related.

My favorite ACE version is the ACE 22, 5.56 13" barrel and taking original Galil mags. I was hoping IWI would eventually bring in either a ACE 22 or ACE-N 22 as a pistol but guess that's not happing now :( I'm fine with them offering a Gen 2 version, the part that pisses me off though is discontinuing the Gen 1's. Seems like they are leaving the military pattern collectors a bit high and dry in my opinion. Hard to describe but the Gen 2 doesn't really look like a Galil anymore in my opinion, it doesn't have that military pattern style. I guess they discontinued the Tavor SAR relatively quickly too so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised. I've learned my lesson to buy IWI products I'm interested in when I see them because they can't be trusted to offer product lines for more than a few years it seems.

@@misha5670 Oh yeah IWI isn't the only guilty one, they are less offensive than most actually. I'm still pissed at CZ for the Bren 2s one time import. Plenty of other companies are guilty of pulling products unnecessarily early for no apparent reason too. Sad part is I'm pretty confident most of the people at the top of firearms companies are not gun people. All they care about is profit margins, not about offering interesting products. So off to the chopping block they go because they didn't move as many units as a Sig P365 or whatever.

One reason I've had a lot of patience with Arsenal over the years is that they do not often release a non-military style AK. They did threaten us with the AK20, but thankfully that was only a buff and didn't come out. I loved their Classic series guns, as well as their RPKs.

Originally, the Galil was introduced with either a 18" or 13" barrel. Later 16" was introduced for the civilian market mostly. With the Micro, there were several lengths like 7.8", 8.3", and even 11".

X39 isn't doing that bad from an 8.5". Still hitting with 1750ish ft per sec at 100 meters and over 800 ft-lbs. With Hornady SST or Federal Fusion, terminal ballistics are still there. Ask hunters what's up

x39 is plenty viable in 8 inch, these cmmg mk47 and iwi galil ace offerings are excellent, I forget if the cz bren is 8 or 9! 308 can do fine at 12-13 inch 458 socom can do fine at 10-12 556 10.3 and up, also prefer 11.5 I have heard 13.7 with pw muzzle device and fold stock is a nice everything

A Galil mag version would sell terribly here. You know how people insist on their mag compatability. Everytime a .223 AK comes up, people start talking about AR15 magwell adaptors, even if they look and work for crap lol.

For the Love of All that is good, please when you do a jump cut from talking to shooting turn down the audio of your shooting... I listen to your videos quite a bit driving down the road and you're talking audio is very quiet but the shooting audio is extremely loud I nearly wrecked because I jumped so hard when you just did a hard cut to shooting clips

@@misha5670 There is a setting the equalizes the audio so that the volume does not fluctuate throughout the entire video. It's definitely recommended when recording multiple scenes and converting them to just one video. Should be a simple checkbox to click in the settings when you upload. Sorry, I cannot remember the exact same of the setting.
