Fun Fact: Cersei's childhood friend, Melara, also had her future told to her by the witch. She was told she would die that night in that forest. After Cersei and Melara left they agreed that not speaking of the witch's predictions will prevent them from coming true. However, Melara was so understandably sad at hers that she was inconsolable, so Cersei pushed her down a well in the forest to prevent her from squealing. And thus fulfilled Melara's fate. And Cersei got her first body at 10 years old.

As Tywin said a few episodes ago, Prince Oberyn studied poisons at The Citidal in Oldtown. I can’t remember if it was spelled out in the books or just hinted at but it was believed Oberyn had already poisoned Tywin before Tyrion killed him. That was the reason Tywin had been in the privy so long and why his bowels smelled so foul after he died - intestinal distress from the poison. Tywin would have died in a few days so Tyrion’s crossbow or not, it was time for Tywin to wear the eye rocks.

Not sure if this is a spoiler because nothing came of it in the show but Cousin Lancel was King Robert's squire and was the one responsible for give the king the unwatered wine on the boar hunt, getting him drunk, which caused his death. It was later indicated that Lancel confessed to the High Sparrow about his sins, so the High Sparrow knows that Cersei set up Roberts death. But I guess nothing came of it in the show, because by the time the High Sparrow shows up, i dont think that piece of information would have made a difference

They talked about whether Mance should put aside principles to save his people (although I doubt the wildlings would've meekly accepted Stannis if their leader had abandoned their ways), could Stannis have found a better way to secure the wildlings? He clearly respected Mance. His inflexibility and black and white viewpoint is perhaps his biggest flaw. "She reversed it! The difference between Margaery and Daenerys, is that Daenerys isn't compelled to connect with her people, she just looks at ruling them and creating fear. Margaery tries to make a genuine connection because they will have respect and admiration towards her. Notice how Daenerys is always remining people that she is a queen. Didn't Tywin say something about this when Joffrey kept saying that he was king and they should listen to him? Then again, this is still The Game of Thrones.

Margaery didn't have a genuine connection with the common folk. She used that as political leverage, if she didn't then one could say that it was genuine. Daenerys had a genuine connection with the dothraki and she hasn't lived a life of riches and ease. She's had to fight for everything she has. Comparing these two women is useless cause they don't have much of anything in common.

D&D never understood Daenerys. In the books she always doubts about herself, she tries to be a good queen and to find the strength to be one. She is surrounded by lowborns and former slaves and treats them as equals, as she of all the protagonists is the only one who grew up in the streets and impoverished. Correct Adison. Dany does start out wanting to help people, but ultimately she is someone that was alone in the world with no home and all her brother instilled was the chase for the throne & being a dragon as the most important things. She is never able to shake that & too many justify fire and blood because it means they will profit or their enemies will burn. She also confuses justice with vengeance.

For me, it's the sheer volume of things they guess right and RARELY guess wrong. Compared to the dozens of other reactors I have watched, these guys are Nostradamus. Strong, competent leaders weren't known to consult their people to make the hard decisions. This is what the role of a leader is. He can ask their opinions and make a decision based on a consensus but most leaders didn't operate in a democracy. A good leader listens to his people and his advisors and makes a decision. He can discard all of those opinions for the good of the people whether they know it or not. A good leader does, because most people base their opinions on their own reality without thinking that the collective could have completely different opinions. And with all of those opinions, a leader could actually get bogged down with trying to please too many people, hence taking a consensus. But as we know, a good leader can sometimes be more complicated to determine. I didn't think about this option for Mance to consult the wildlings about his decision. In the case of bending the knee to Stannis, I think that would've been a great opportunity to break with tradition and be honest with the wildlings. But you have to think, he's a prisoner. So he probably wouldn't have been given an opportunity to come clean with the wildlings anyway.

The unsullied don't go to those women for sexual gratification for obvious reasons but they go there to feel a motherly touch...and some boobies...because it's GoT. All of them get taken from their mothers as children and then live those brutal lives in service of the masters. It is really messed up that they are getting taken out, by the masters via sons of the harpy, when they are just trying to find some peace and safety. No matter what they do they get abused, even under Dany to a degree, it is by choice but they just live lives of unending violence. I feel hella bad for the unsullied and all the slaves. They have it harder than anyone in the series except maybe Theon.
