Hey all! Hope you like the Game of Thrones breakdowns! So far HBO hasn't caused any problems for us posting these, so fingers-crossed that they come out regularly. Yes, there are still Walking Dead videos coming out (@fimo shot them all already), but most of you know those get delayed by the network. Hope you enjoy these in the meantime, there's some amazing info in there :-) Have a good one everybody!

This is the first video I've come across from this channel. How could that be possible? You are the most logical reviewer I've seen. You also recognize literary and motion picture parameters and the use of scenary to convey half of the message. I feel many fans neglect historical comprehensions when trying to predict -- and even understand -- material. You do not. Good work here. You're miles ahead of these other dogmatic KZbin reviewers.

Who thinks Ramsey will kill Roose and his wife? Place your bets.
@kevincarter20208 жыл бұрын
Roose should kill Ramsay but he is smart enough to realise beoming a kinslayer won't help him maintain rule of the North
@jimgower17908 жыл бұрын
Disagree. I believe it is Roose and his wife on those sacrifice X's. They didn't show the second one in the trailer because the silhouette of the second person would be too obvious.
@strat55208 жыл бұрын
Definitely. Because Roose already legitimized him, and named him his heir. Ramsey catches a whiff of Roose taking that away, and he will kill him(obviously he will make it look like an accident...perhaps involving hounds lol) before Roose can make it official.

17:38 Actually, in that letter You magnified there is written that Jamie sends this prince back to Dorn on the same boat (because it's not save for him in capital) so maybe they were already closing in or snakes met the ship halfway to Dorn. Also, I'm first time here and I got to admit I'm stunned looking at the level of Your preparedness and accuracy in this review. On other channels that (compared to You they only try to) do those kind of recaps/ reviews/ summaries You really stand out. They're half sure of what they say they remember only few things more than me from past seasons but You look like You remember everything that happened, unless You're doing thorough research looking through every episode to find info in which case that's amazing. Moreover You make meaningful theories/ explanations. You most definitely earned a sub. Great work!

"Only death can pay for life". Shireen was murdered with fire and fire will bring Jon back to life. Just remember how Shireen's sacrifice hasn't been redeemed yet because Stannis lost against the Boltons, so the show still has to play that card.

When Melisandre admonishes Mance for removing the shirt of bones, she speaks of the things of which a glamour is made. So it's not simply the ruby being worn. I think when she was in the bath earlier, her faith and confidence were so strong that she could maintain the illusion without the necklace. But now, faith and confidence are at their lowest ebb, and the only thing maintaining her youthful appearance is that necklace. Very intriguing points in this video, by the way; the whole 'what happens after death' thing, and the fates of the Stark children being mirrored/predicted by their wolves.

+New Rockstars "Not until the sun rises in the west and sets in the east"......Drogon is her "son." He is 'rising' (developing, gaining power) in the west and MAY at some point 'set' (come down upon) the east. It could also be a metaphor for better days; a reversal of what has come to pass. Because we know the sun actually rises in the east (not west). It could also be a metaphor for the Targaryens returning to power.

+spoutingfiction Dany is no prophet, her words might be foretelling something for us the viewers, but she was just telling Khal Moro he wasn't going to get any children with her. Dany is barren thanks to Mirri Maz Daur's blood magic that paralyzed Drogo, and she shared celestial talk with Drogo- she was the moon of his life and he was the sun stars to her. So if the sun rises in the wrong part it is as likely as he getting pregnant.

+spoutingfiction many other plot points from the book can metaphorically solve the prophecy, such as "Sun" and "Son" being interchangeable, but with the way they've butchered the Dorne storyline... we'll have to look for a different Son.

+New Rockstars Book Spoilers... The theory goes that Varys is in fact a Blackfire and supports them, not the Targaryens. The Viserys/Daenerys plot is a feint he devised with another Blackfire, Illyrio. The mummer's dragon Dany was warned about is "Young Grif" aka Aegon. He is believed to be a Blackfire trained to rule well who was taught that he is Aegon Targaryen. Or so the theory goes.

i really hate how theyve done dorne and some of my favorite characters, oberyn and doran were a team he was the grass that hid the red viper till theyre ready to strike, areo hotah shouldve been around for the final battle hes one of the best warriors in the world and was killed with a tiny knife, why would you avenge someone by killing the last of their family? and now theyll never realize the tyrells and martells orchestrated the purple wedding so oberyn could expose tywin for giving the mountain orders to rape and kill elia martell, and avenge his sister without going to war, oberyn wouldve taught his daughters the warriors code and they would never have killed areo and tystane like cowards from behind, and now why would you end an ancient house you didnt tell anyone about why would the average viewer care that you killed them? so butthurt.
@liranbromberg85018 жыл бұрын
+Michael Balsamo I think it's just because the Dorne scenes were so hated last year that the showrunners wanted to wrap them up this year asap so they could move on to other things.

+liran bromberg i guess so i just hate how now the sand snakes are no better than the freys,boltons,lannisters but in the book theyre the only other reasonable good guys.

Michael Balsamo mm. I haven't gotten there in the books but one of the things I love so much about GoT is that there are NO fully good or fully bad characters.
@crappyusername698 жыл бұрын
+Michael Balsamo the entire show is based on the concept of no justice being served. The greatest of warriors often are killed by the ill intent of the smallest things. Honestly i haven't read the books, but the dorne storyline you described has far to much resolution than the game of thrones i know. The show has a habit of setting up grand schemes and vendettas and mysteries, only to then kill off any chance that they will be explored. This, above all, is not a story told for the readers sake, it's the nitty gritty of life.
@michaelbalsamo98068 жыл бұрын
im not sure if i think thats the main concept of the show, its more of showing that the world isnt black and white and is more shades of gray, and if you want justice you have to take it for yourself. resolution should be what the showrunners are aiming for if there are only 13 more episodes left after this season, they took it a step beyond that and just said were not gonna touch it because its just too big to chew off for us. then what was the point of introducing them and keeping some parts of the storyline and clearing out the rest. why not keep the storyline with fewer characters? instead they took something that book people liked which is how they got into this in the first place because they love the books, and just shitted on it.

+PrinceJibinJoy I have no idea why people get upset over this shit. They vanished because having either Brienne or Pod slaughter a few dogs on screen would ruin the touching moment that follows. @NewRockstars8 жыл бұрын
+Amit Nihal Not 100% on this, but these were bloodhounds, not Ramsay's dobermans, so they may have not had it in them to put up a fight when they saw the battle and could have ran off. But more likely, only 5 men were killed, of the 6 from the search party, so it's possible that the one man took the hounds and ran back to report what had happened.

@DaHeadHunter0768 жыл бұрын
+theArtofQueer 1. Oberyn (who is one of my favorite characters) lost his fight even though he technically cheated by using poisoned weapons. 2. Oberyn spoke proudly of how much better Dorne was than the rest of Westeros because they weren’t sexist, homophobic and didn’t hold children accountable for the sins of their parents etc. but Ellaria murdered a child in his name anyways (even though Oberyn would have killed Ellaria himself for it). 3. The final part of her plan involved both murdering his brother whom he had both loved and respected a great deal in his name and then sent her daughters to murder their younger cousin in cold blood. All of this was done to trigger a war that as far as we currently know is unwinnable. At this point who would join them that is anywhere near Westeros? Maybe the Reach but that’s an awful lot of eggs to put in one basket considering (assuming military strength is the same as the books) The Reach could theoretically effectively engage both the Lannisters and the Martells at the same time. I’m sure once Daenerys came over Doran would have joined her happily but now the odds of her getting there in time to make a difference in this conflict seem slim. TL;DR I think Doran was just waiting for Daenerys to arrive which would give them a realistic chance actually avenging Ellia instead of dying in a poorly thought out blaze of glory.
@queermm8 жыл бұрын
+GhazghkullThraka58 But it's possible that the waiting, planning was viewed as apathy and weakness (we are Dorne, great, wise, terrific fighters, but...well... let's wait for help because we can't do it alone) which gave the Sand Snakes cause, in their eyes, to speed up the goal, come up with a new plan, etc. There is a reason for it all. Incidentally... Even if Johnny wants to go fight and avenge alone doesn't mean you let him. Even if he wanted to. So there's a bit of justification. Even if you don't think the logic is sound. Haha it may have been to her.

Honestly there is just no good way to explain the Trystane death scene. No explanation is satisfactory. Like let's say he was on the boat off of King's Landing's shore, why the hell was he still there?!?!?! Jamie is no fool, the moment Myrcella died Trystane became a high value hostage. He's not gonna leave him just chillin' on a boat he would have dragged his ass either into the Red Keep or a cell, in both cases heavily guarded! And I don't think Trystane or his men would have resisted because if he or they thought he was in any immediate danger perhaps they would have tried to get him the hell out of there immediately after sending off Jaime, Myrcella and Bronn! Then there are others who will say that he was on a different boat and again I would say why?! Sure he is important so he would have at least a hundred Dornishmen accompanying him to King's Landing (remember when Tyrion was sent to greet Oberyn? He brought with him a lot of people) but that does not require another ship. He will have his own massive ship with his men and then just add three individuals. There is no reasonable explanation as to why Jamie, Myrcella and Bronn require a ship of their own. Then there are others who say that Jaime was sending him back to Dorne so as to spare the poor boy from Cersei's vengeance. She probably would have ripped his heart out with her bare hands given the chance but I still just don't see Jaime doing something so ... stupid? This is war. They are declaring war on Dorne and he just sends their HEIR back to them because he is young and innocent? I just don't see it. A lot of people (primarily book readers) have taken to shitting on D&D over every little thing over the years, I think it's just customary at this point and more often than not I've found myself disagreeing with my fellow book readers, but I'm not gonna pretend like D&D don't occasionally mess up in a big way and I think this was just one of those times. That's why we still can't find a satisfactory enough explanation for that scene unless perhaps there is still more we will learn about it from the upcoming episodes. Also, maybe it's just me, but I didn't see Trystane painting the stones that will be placed on her eyes as him being caught up in the "romantics" of the funeral. Every culture in the world has it's own way of "sending off" it's dead and that comes from a place of respect and a desire to preserve the dignity of the dead. Sure they will never know but nobody wants their body to be just dropped in a ditch or mishandled after they are long gone and it is the living who see to it that that doesn't happen. I saw him painting the stones as him just wanting to do something for her in a funeral procession that will be handled by the Lannisters. Just a little something from him to send her off. I don't think that's being passive, it's being sentimental, which sure yeah that is not the emotional response of someone like Ellaria but I'm sure he had plenty of rage to go around as well. After all Myrcella was his fiancée that he actually was in love with. I would have liked to see what he would have done afterwards to avenge her and his father but ... oh well. Phew! That was a long rant! Let me just add, love your videos and keep it up! ^_^

Just saying here to say, "Hell yeah!" I agree with your comments fully! I would only add that the whole subject of Dorne (& the pastime to hate everything about it on the show) begins with its author. It came across as a throw away in Feast and, realistically, its storyline too late to invest in fully. I'm a GoT die hard who loves good literature not just a good story - all of Dorne was a disappointment from the start. Thanks for your insightful comment! Hope you enjoy the rest of the season. 😊

CinnE I I agree with you to some extent that the Dorne storyline does come in too late to be completely invested in but the books still do a better job of hooking the audience into that particular storyline even if it will never matter to the reader as much as the other storylines. I think the idea was that at a time when the reader feels like he/she knows the premise of the game George introduces these new players that kinda throw you off balance like Doran, Victarion and Euron so it resets the game. I think it's not about how much you will come to be invested in them but rather how much they will affect the other storylines which is why I was genuinely shocked and even pissed off when they killed off Doran just like that even though, in my humble and possibly very biased opinion, he was the one saving grace of the Dorne storyline both in the books and the show. I knew his storyline would be vastly different than the one in the books because of certain characters that were not going to be adapted to the show but I still thought seeing as how he is such a layered character that plays the long game they would still write him into the show in a different way and make use of having a new capable player to throw the game off balance. I was even hopeful that the Dorne storyline on the show would be better than the books ... instead he was just wasted for no damn reason ... but again, that could just be me whining because I really liked Doran from his first introduction in the books as this meek prince and was really excited to see him on the show last season and even more pumped for his role in this season especially because the actor that played him was so great. I even told a couple of people after Oberyn's death that they still have more awesome Dornishmen to look forward to ... T_T Sorry about the super long reply~ :D and thank you for your insight as well! Season 6 will be great, I'm sure, so yeah hope we all have a blast! :D

+Narita Zaraki If you read the letter from Jaime to Prince Doran, Jaime stresses that he does not blame Doran but feels King's Landing is unsafe for Trystane, so he is sending him back. Trystane's assassination takes place back at Dorne, not King's Landing. I imagine the note was sent ahead by raven, so Doran was killed when the note arrived, Trystane was killed when the boat arrived. I think that explains it pretty handily without having to assume any craziness :-)

Troy Cameron Are you reading that from the letter in Doran's hand that Filup shows in this video? I can't make out much from it ... is it like a "I return your son to you so give me Ellaria's head in return" kind of thing? Like an act of good faith to maintain the peace between the crown and Dorne? But from the way Jaime was talking to Cersei he didn't seem very interested in peace ... this is confusing me ... and still I find it to be out of character for Jaime anyways ...

I honestly think Melisandre's glamour only works on men. the scene you mention with Selyse where she didn't have the ruby on, I think Selyse always saw Melisandre as that, hence why she asked if Melisandre used potions to seduce Stannis. Shireen always seemed like she was scared of Melisandre but trying to put on a brave face. Yeah Old Mel looked fragile in the most recent episode but imagine seeing that same old lady burning people, she would look like the stereotypical witch to poor little Shireen. Then there is Arya who wonders why all of the men in the brotherhood are doting on Melisandre, Arya can see through glamours though, as shown when she isn't impressed by some of the Bravosis glamours in the books. I suppose if they aren't doing Young Griff Varys could be the harpy. I prefer to think that the harpy doesn't have one clear leader but is rather the city itself rejecting Dany which will cause her to leave. I imagine Davos will find Melisandre as she is and try to persuade her for help. Then she will remember Thoros and try to revive Jon. I think she will fail. They can't stretch out the standoff at Castle Black for too long so I imagine next episode the wildlings lead by Tormund will defeat Thorne, but in the trailer we hear him saying that he thought Jon would be the man to lead them through the long night. Which leads me to believe that Jon will still be dead when the fight at Castle Black is over and probably after Melisandre tries her thing. Although Tormund could have been talking about Mance or even Stannis when he said that but I think it's Jon. I honestly think that after Bran sees ToJ he will warg into Jon's corpse.

I really like your breakdown, plus how you put a quick image of the character when you mention them. This really helps a lot to understand your point of views. The extra theories is a bonus. I subscribed today. Thanks!
