Agreed. If they want to really ramp it up, the second to last shot will be Dany heading across the narrow sea to start her invasion of Westeros. So while everyone's saying Yay, the Walkers come up on the Wall, everybody's ready for a fight, but then the whole thing just comes crashing down and they ride calmly over the rubble.

Does anyone else think GoT could end with the whitewalkers winning and Westeros being destroyed as we know it? Personally I feel it would be a GRRM move, not a happy ending but a realistic one. I think the only way for this not to happen is if 1. Jon leads the army against WW with ALL the Valyrian steel/dragonglass from dragonstone, 2. Dany brings her armies to Westeros in time (maybe she lands at dragonstone, her "home" and brings dragonglass north), and 3. If bran can warg either one or two of Dany's dragons (he will not walk, but he will fly.....)

I think at some point (maybe episode 8 or 9) Jon Snow, the wildlings and most of the Nightswatch are going south to defeat Ramsey - Castle Black and the Wall would be quite unguarded during that Battle of Winterfell and that could be something the White Walkers take advantage of. I imagine Jon's army defeating the Boltons and just in the moment when they feel like the glorious winners, the White Walker's appear behind them. (That would be quite a good cliffhanger for episode 10 actually)
