The problem with the BMI is it doesn't include muscle density so a bodybuilder like Ronnie Coleman has a BMI of 41.4("Obese") even though he's in a healthy condition.

11:35 BMI is largely considered crap by the Fitness Industry as a whole as it doesn't take muscle density into consideration. Although, since it would be impossible to measure Body Fat % in this case, I guess BMI is the best you can do for video game characters. :p

BMI isn’t great, but for most people it’s good enough to get a rough idea of what’s going on. Sure, it doesn’t take muscle into account, but unless you’re a professional athlete that is constantly working on their muscles it shouldn’t be too far off. It works for maybe 90% of people.

BMI is not a good indicator of fitness. BMI can’t distinguish between fat and muscle. There was a Wario manual that said Wario was 308 pounds. We can divide this by his Mario Kart weight to see a unit is 30.8 pounds. This would mean these are the true weights of the Mario characters: Mario and Luigi are 186 pounds, Peach and Daisy are 123 pounds, Rosalina is 215 pounds, Waluigi is 246 pounds and Wario is 308 pounds.

You are correct. I'm surprised Matpat didn't use Wario's canonical weight of 308 lbs to base the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom's characters weight off of. As far as I know...Wario is the only Mario character with an official listed weight unless there are other sources I'm not aware of.
